Fulton Hogan’s Post

🎉 Celebrating 10 years of super weekends: working faster, smarter and harder! 🚧 Super weekends involve closing a section of road from Friday night to Monday morning, allowing crews to work continuously and efficiently. Our first super weekend project in Auckland took place in 2014 on Te Irirangi Drive, between Chapel Road and Ormiston Road. The recent Triangle Road project in west Auckland allowed our crews to combine a road rehabilitation with building a new bus lane and all the necessary enabling works. Most of the work was completed over three super weekends rather than 30 days. This approach increases the productivity of our crews and contractors, reduces costs for things like traffic management and limits disruption for our communities, residents, and businesses. Triangle Road super weekend project, by the numbers: 📅 3 weekends 👷 130 crew and team members 🛣️ 400m road resealed ⚫ 700 tonne asphalt laid 🚚 800m3 concrete poured ⬆️ 4,000 tonne road surface dug up 🕜 4,600 manhours worked
