Max has invested and worked with over four dozen start-ups, with notable exits including Grapeshot (Oracle), Phonetic Arts (Google), Spectral Edge (Apple), Audio Analytic (FAANG), Neul (Huawei) and Stillfront (NASDAQ IPO), driving top decile returns for IQ Capital funds. Max is currently representing IQ Capital on the boards of Thought Machine (fintech infra), Nyobolt (ultra-fast batteries),  Accelercomm (5g/sat comms), Fluidic Analytics (proteomic tools), QuadSat (space-tech), M-Qube (fintech), Virti (VR e-learning) and IONATE (smart energy grid), initially all seed investments and now collectively valued at over $4bn and continuing to scale rapidly. Max is a member of Invest Europe (EVCA) Venture Capital Council and was elected for the the Invest Europe Board in 2019. He is a frequent speaker at European conferences, as well as a policy advisor. Prior to tech VC, Max was in telecoms, where he caught the start-up bug whilst being part of operational teams building mobile operators from start-up to scale-up. Max holds a BSc in Economics (University of Maryland) and an MBA (University of Cambridge).
