In this video, Riley Ennis, Freenome co-founder and Chief Product Officer, speaks with Anjee Davis, newly appointed CEO of Fight Colorectal Cancer, about the power of partnerships in advancing colorectal cancer care. Congratulations to Anjee on her new role and continued leadership in this critical work.
Freenome is proud to collaborate with Fight CRC on the Colorectal Cancer Care Report, a first-of-its-kind effort to use real-world data to identify gaps in care and create measurable solutions to improve screening and treatment.
Colorectal cancer remains a leading cause of cancer-related deaths, but progress is possible when advocacy, research, and data-driven insights come together.

The colorectal cancer care report aims to really elucidate for us the sequence of care. So when does care need to happen for patients, no matter where they live? It's really exciting because we've never done this before and colorectal cancer, but we're using real world data to inform these decisions for healthcare systems and the report outlines very clear goals for screening through treatment. And it's just really exciting to see us marry the idea of using real world data. In what patient should experience from screening to treatment? To improve their care and hopefully they're outcome. The care report was a collaborative report. We started the report after a meeting with the White House discussing the moon shot program in freedom really stepped up to say we want to lock arms with advocacy and put something together that would help inform health systems and also improve care. So we're really excited to have partners like Freedom and really dive into the real world data to improve care for patients's been involved in supporting. Collect Cancer Carers report as our mission and our passion is really ensuring that we can provide access and improve the overall collective cancer care continuum. And that starts with screening and working with ABC groups, but also the diverse stakeholders that can support people as they are getting screened. And that required real world data capabilities and analytics. And that's where Freenome came into play, analyzing millions of claims from a variety of different payers to help us. Understand what are the gaps in care that exists today and how can we standardize those measures so we can both monitor the current state of collective cancer care as well as how to monitor how interventions can improve those outcomes throughout the continuum. And working directly with Fights CRC, representing and really understanding how different communities engage the healthcare system, think through the barriers to not only screening but also treatment really helps us collectively propose it. Better way of not only engaging the healthcare system, but the individual people, their families and their communities to improve outcomes for everybody.
