We were delighted to host delegates from the ERF - European Union Road Federation at our booth at Intertraffic Amsterdam. It was an incredible opportunity to exchange ideas, explore innovations in the road sector, and forge valuable connections for the future of European road infrastructure. Key discussions highlighted: -The importance of proper safety barrier installation: proper installation was emphasized as crucial for ensuring the effectiveness of safety barriers and safeguarding road users. -Guidelines for validating the proper functioning of safety barriers: The establishment of clear guidelines for validating the performance of safety barriers installed on embankments and reinforced concrete structures was deemed significant. -The role of auxiliary anchoring devices in safety barrier performance: the importance of auxiliary anchoring devices in ensuring the optimal functioning of safety barriers, particularly in embankment applications, was discussed. We were honored to have Ing. giovanni brero, Coordinator of the UNICMI Road Equipment Division, present at our booth and share his insights on these critical topics. The increased demand in train transportation calls for increased availability of the tracks without a drop in safety. From a certain point on this is impossible without proper digitalization of the track infrastructure. For cross european transfer ECTS is an important piece of the puzzle and unified standards like EULYNX will play a crucial role in making railway integration easier. So as an employee of Frauscher Sensortechnik I am quite proud of contributing to this. As of yesterday we can proudly announce our contribution to the Digirail project in Finland!
