Project Manager Biomass Fractionation at Fraunhofer Center for Chemical-Biotechnological Processes CBP

🤝I had the great chance to present our work in the LIKE-A-PRO project at #BIOKET 2025. In doing so, I hope that I was able to show its potential to transform rapeseed processing and introduce a novel protein fraction for food applications. Key facts about EthaNa: ✅ The EthaNa process offers a mild ethanol-based fractionation method, preserving protein functionality while co-extracting high-quality oil and protein. ✅ Within the LIKE-A-PRO project this protein was tested in diverse food formulations—showing great potential in solubility, emulsification, and nutrition. ✅ Scaling up to a pilot-scale plant has been a crucial step, demonstrating efficiency and real-world application potential. ✅ Collaboration is key! Working with food technologists, chefs, and industry experts is paving the way for sustainable food innovation.   I think that the engaging discussions and feedback at the conference are a sign that demand for sustainable protein alternatives is growing, which validates our approach. We’re excited to continue this journey and explore new opportunities for plant-based ingredients in the food industry.   💚 A huge thank you to everyone who attended, shared insights, and contributed to the dialogue.   #SustainableFood #EthaNa #LikeAPro #FoodInnovation #PlantBased #FutureOfFood #ConferenceRecap
