On this 80th anniversary of the D-Day invasion to rescue Europe from evil, this call to awareness and action from Kentucky’s senior U.S. senator should be read and re-read. Though easy to ignore eight decades later, the post-WW2 truisms remain crystal clear: ▫️Totalitarianism anywhere threatens freedom and free enterprise everywhere. ▫️Our economic security and our national security are inseparable. ▫️Strength deters. ▫️Alliances with other democracies are vital to our national interest. ▫️We must grow America’s arsenal of democracy, our defense industrial base. ▫️In the long twilight struggle between good and evil, between democracy and dictatorship, America remains the indispensable nation for the Free World. #NeverForget 🇺🇸

In light of recent events and the troubling news about former President Trump, it's clear that our nation stands at a critical crossroads. The divisions we face today echo the time when our country was on the brink of civil war. The intense polarization, the breakdown of civil discourse, and the growing distrust among fellow Americans are all reminiscent of the pre-Civil War era. We must seek common ground, and work towards our more perfect union.

Speak up, and don’t be afraid!!! In today’s America, the right to free speech feels increasingly under attack. Censorship, cancel culture, and suppression of differing viewpoints have created an environment where many Americans are afraid to speak their minds. But now, more than ever, it’s crucial to stand up and make your voice heard. America’s founding principles were built on the idea that everyone has the right to express their thoughts and work together for a common cause. The radical left has been chipping away at these rights, making it harder to organize for a shared purpose. Don’t be silenced by fear of censorship or trolls. Seek out like-minded individuals who share your passion for preserving the republic. Joining a movement or organization can help amplify your voice. Consider aligning with the Military Party—a group that’s not just for veterans or military personnel, but for all patriotic Americans who want to safeguard our nation’s future. Don’t stay quiet. Speak up, organize, and vote for the country we all love.

On this day, we commemorate the courage and sacrifice of those who fought on D-Day, June 6, 1944. The beaches of Normandy witnessed an extraordinary display of courage and commitment as Allied soldiers started a vital offensive against fascist tyranny. Many of those brave troops came from North Carolina, and their dedication and valor helped to make this historic mission a success. D-Day is more than just a historical event; it is a stark warning of the stakes when democracy is threatened. Today, as we see the consolidation of worldwide fascist authoritarian movements, the lessons of D-Day are more relevant. These groups undermine the basic principles of democracy, encouraging hatred and division rather than unity and freedom. My work with the Bridging Divides Initiative includes researching, monitoring, and analyzing authoritarian and antidemocratic movements. The sacrifices made by troops on D-Day are a source of hope and a call to action for all of us. We must be watchful, defend democratic values, and ensure that the liberties for which they fought so bravely are preserved for future generations. In North Carolina, a state with a strong history of service and sacrifice, we are inspired by those who have come before us. Their legacy urges us to resist oppression and work ceaselessly for a society governed by democracy, fairness, and equality. Let us honor their legacy by recommitting to the ongoing struggle for liberty and democracy. #DDay #NeverForget #Democracy #NorthCarolina #Veterans #Freedom #BridgeDivides

Consider the power and influence of a regional superpower, capable of exerting its will upon smaller nations. As with Putin's expansionist agenda, a strategic incorporation of neighboring territories such as Bahrain, Armenia, and Azerbaijan could bolster our nation's prestige, security, and resource-base. Imagine a unified land mass, rich in natural resources and cultural diversity, and ready to take its rightful place as a dominant force in global politics.

Saying the quiet parts out loud. Stop defending him. This wasn’t just any slip. This is a Freudian slip. THIS is what he believes, what Harris believes. I think he regrets saying it out loud. But make NO mistake he believes it. And this is Biden’s both strategy and ideology. The Republicratic party wants ISR to expand. Because ISR is part of the US. It’s a US colony. It’s why we keep funding it. Why we let our citizens go serve in its army. ISR is a US state. It’s the last frontier of this Empire that’s able to steal land on behalf of the US. And demonizing Muslims/Arabs/Palestinians is how they’re manufacturing consent for this final land grab. The plan is to take over a good part of the Middle East. #truth #lies #history #change #media #news

The world needs fresh ideas and a new type of politics and politicians, representing mankind as a whole and each of us as equals instead of fragmented political interests! We have to grow together in order to urgently address the issues that impact all of us like conflict, climate change, inequality and forced migration together. This we can only do without any dominance, as equals. Collectively in Solidarity. www.convergence.ngo & www.pax.ngo

While renewable energy has been my domain for almost 30 years and winning the climate battle dominates my focus politically, there's more to the Presidential election this time around. The list of issues is long. But one issue, our freedom, is top of mind today. Growing up the son of an USAF figher pilot during the height of the cold war and living in a militarized Europe during the early 1980s, I have some perspective of what it feels like living in a time when your freedom (and maybe your life) is just minutes away from vanishing. As a teenage boy it seemed exhilerating walking home from school while air raid sirens blared, low-flying "agressors" screeched over our base (our home) and every person in uniform scrambled to put on their gas masks. Now I look back at that time and its unnerving. Today, with multiple wars raging around the globe and the emergence of an undemocratic axis of nations focussed on tyrany, it feels like the Cold War is upon us again. We need strong leaders to guide our nation and the Free World through this quagmire. When former President Trump and his campaign denegrate US citizens (Puerto Ricans, most recently), threaten those who speak out from within (Liz Cheney, most recently) and cozy up to wanna-be dictators (Victor Orban, most recently), I do not see a leader of the Free World. He does not represent the American values I hold as true. We project and protect democracy here and across the globe, we respect our fellow Americans, we work against dictators and tyrants that squash fundemental human rights. Right? Right. The freedom we cherish as Americans is enshrined in our Constitution. Our miliarty leaders know this. The oath they take states they will "support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic". It means something to me when, not a few, not dozens, but hundreds of former military leaders speak out in support of Vice President Kamala Harris in a quest to preserve our democracy and continue our global leadership. Join them. Join me. Vote for freedom over tyranny. Vote for Harris/Walz. #harriswalz #vote #freedom #democracy https://lnkd.in/gHrkgJ6c

Today is Day of Remembrance and Reconciliation for Those Who Lost Their Lives during the Second World War, 8-9 May By resolution 59/26 of 22 November 2004, the UNGA declared 8–9 May as a time of remembrance and reconciliation and, while recognizing that Member States may have individual days of victory, liberation and commemoration, invited all Member States, organizations of the United Nations System, non-governmental organizations and individuals to observe annually these days in an appropriate manner to pay tribute to all victims of the II World War. The Assembly emphaziezed that this historic event established the conditions for the creation of the United Nations, designed to save succeeding generations from the scourge of war, and called upon the Member States of the United Nations to unite their efforts in dealing with new challenges and threats, with the United Nations playing a central role, and to make every effort to settle all disputes by peaceful means in conformity with the Charter of the United Nations and in such a manner that international peace and security are not endangered. USA will never change. US interests means the interests of the jesuit-zionist oligarchy, the judeo-masonic cult. This is from the book; The End of Grand Strategy: US Maritime Operations in Twenty-First Century. "...what ultimately makes the difference between war and peace, tragedy and triumph, is not good intentions, or strong words, or a grand coalition. It is the capability, credibility, and global reach of American hard power." https://lnkd.in/dW6b99ky

“In all civilized as well as barbarous countries a few rich and intelligent men have built up Nobility Systems; by which under some name and by some contrivance, the few are enabled to live upon the labor of the many. These ruling classes have had many names - kings, lords, priests, fundholders, but all are founded on deception, and maintained by power. The people are persuaded to permit their introduction, under the plea of public good and public necessity. As soon as they are firmly established, they turn upon the people, tax and control them by their influence of monopolies, the declamation of priestcraft and government-craft, and in the last resort by military force. (Was America immune from this universal pattern?) The United States have their young Nobility System. Its head is the Bank of the United States (central bank, now called ‘Federal Reserve’); it’s right arm, protecting Tariff and Manufacturing Monopolies; its left, growing State debts and States incorporations.“ - Amos Kendall, (one of President Andrew Jackson’s closest confidants)

Calls for Peace in a World of Turmoil! Yesterday, I had the privilege of attending a fascinating human rights conference titled "Calls for Peace in a World of Turmoil," led by the esteemed Prof. Dr. Rafael Biermann, where we explored positive and negative peace, with ceasefires as an example of negative peace. He also raised the provocative idea that, at times, military solutions can address political challenges—a perspective that sparked much debate. This thought-provoking discussion made the complexities of peacebuilding all the more exciting to explore. What are your thoughts on negative peace and the claim that military solutions can sometimes resolve political issues?
