Can AI predict accounts at risk? Revenue operations embracing technology do - very accurately. TikTok predicts what video will engage you. Spotify predicts what songs will you like. Forwrd predicts what accounts are at risk! The same way Spotify knows what song you'll love next, we can predict which customers you'll lose next. The signals are all there in your data sources. Recently, we spoke with a RevOps leader at a $100M ARR company. They have an "early warning system" for customer drop-off. You know what it is? A weekly report showing which customers haven't logged in for 14 days. Goodness. In 2025? Really? Because here's what their customers are actually doing before they churn: ☑️ Suddenly exploring basic features they haven't touched in months ☑️ Exporting their historical data ☑️ Adding new admin users while reducing regular user activity ☑️ Hitting help docs about integration options ☑️ But none of this shows up in their "early warning system." Worse yet: 40% of their churned customers showed these exact patterns 60 days before leaving. But nobody was watching for them. We live in a world where TikTok can predict exactly what video will keep you scrolling, but B2B companies are still saying "Huh, they stopped opening our emails. Maybe we should check in?" Your data is lying there, waiting for you to tap into it. Predictive AI opens it. Ready to start monetizing your data? Drop the word “Demo” in the comments and we’ll share a short video with you. #operationalexcellence #data #predictiveanalytics #ai #RevOps #forwrd

Four hundred, six hundred and seventy four minutes. According to Google, that's how many minutes I listened to Spotify this year. Not four thousand, six hundred and seventy four minutes, which is the actual number. Yep, even two of the biggest companies in the world - with massive marketing and product development budgets - sometimes have a bad launch. For Spotify - Wrapped this year was super underwhelming compared to previous years. For Google - they haven't taught the LLM to count into the thousands yet (or there's a bug). So if your next launch doesn't go to plan, just remember that you're not alone, it happens to everyone. #AIFail #AI #SpotifyWrapped #ProductLaunch #MarketingFail #MarketingLaunch #Spotify #Google #technology #marketing

Too much personalization can bore your customer out! Have you ever noticed how Netflix seems to know you better than your closest friends and family? It tracks your viewing habits, preferences, and even the time of day you watch, offering eerily accurate recommendations. Over time, these suggestions can start to feel repetitive, locking you into a cycle of predictable content that eventually makes the platform less exciting. Spotify works in a similar way. It doesn’t just recommend music—it tries to predict your mood, curating playlists for specific moments like morning jogs or late-night study sessions. While this adds convenience, it can also create a musical echo chamber, robbing you of the joy that comes from stumbling upon something truly unexpected. As marketers, we face the same challenge when personalizing experiences for our customers. Over-reliance on past behavior for personalization can lead to a predictable loop of content, leaving customers bored and disconnected. Instead, leveraging AI to personalize in real time based on current behaviors can help strike a balance—delivering what they need while surprising them with something they didn’t know they wanted. What’s your take on this? Have you encountered this as a marketer? Let’s discuss in the comments! #ai #customerjourney #predictivemarketing #marketinginnovation #dejavu #aiinmarketing #personalization #marketingtrends #digitaltransformation

This morning I was testing the new DJ from Spotify and it had me wondered: Is Spotify's AI DJ a misstep for Spotify in particular and AI in general? Spotify's AI DJ summarizes a lot of my concerns about the current state of AI in marketing. It feels like a lazy showcase of AI capabilities, offering no real value to the user. This approach highlights a disconnect between some tech executives and creative professions. As a former radio journalist, a good DJ isn't just an announcer; they curate an experience, injecting personality and warmth. Replacing this human touch with a machine that delivers soulless song names diminishes the value proposition. The same logic applies to design. In today's saturated market, robotic, generic content is forgettable. Brands are personalities, and soulless content leads to brand apathy. The winners will be the companies that amplify their human creativity, not replace it. #AI #Content #future
