Find the legislation regarding food allergen labelling confusing? You’re not alone as there’s no global standard on which foods need to be highlighted as allergens, standardised naming, or how to highlight them. If you’re a F&B manufacturer, it’s vital that you comply with each country's official food allergen labelling laws for the safety of consumers, and to protect your business from potentially a fine, product recall, & bad publicity. Our latest paper provides some clarity, looking at key distinctions between legislation covering the UK / EU, USA, & Canada: https://lnkd.in/eJNHUwyi If you have any allergen labelling questions, please get in touch. #foodintolerance #foodsafety #foodallergies #foodallergens #foodlabelling #foodbusiness #nutricalc #nutritionsoftware #recipedevelopment #compliance
I was a Technical Manager at a food manufacturer for retail supply for 14 years and it still disturbs me how many product recalls there are. It is not difficult to review product specifications and ingredients at each level and to make sure that only the correct ingredients are used. It really freaks me out. We never had any recalls.
