In response to the declared state of emergency in Northern Michigan, the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan is mobilizing emergency food distributions to provide critical relief to affected communities. These distributions aim to support residents facing hardships due to the emergency conditions. “We understand the challenges that families are facing due to the ongoing emergency, and we are committed to ensuring access to nutritious food during this difficult time,” said Kara Ross, CEO & President of the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan. “With the support of our community partners, we are working swiftly to provide essential resources to those in need.” Residents in need of food assistance are encouraged to attend the distribution nearest to them. No pre-registration is required, and food will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last. The Food Bank of Eastern Michigan continues to work closely with local agencies, volunteers, and donors to provide immediate and ongoing support to communities in crisis.
