We have announced an agreement with Boeing at the Aircraft Interiors Expo (AIX) to retrofit 21 of our 737 MAX aircraft with larger Boeing Space Bins. Each Space Bin can accommodate up to six standard-sized bags per bin, an increase from four in comparison to the current standard. This is part of our ongoing commitment to product innovation and enhancing our passenger experience. Read more: https://lnkd.in/dY-nHvtc

2dflydubai This is welcome news. But you need to make further improvements and process changes as you are falling behind the competition with their nice, new shiny Airbus narrow bodies. As a frequent flyer, I am fairly qualified to advise. 1. Be consistent at the gates at DXB with your policy and process for asking passengers to “surrender” their large cabin bags; 2. Adopt the policy used by many European airlines for larger cabin bags getting priority in the overhead bins. Rarely is it optimised and rarely do the crew ask passengers with 2 bags to put smaller bags at their feet. This means the overhead bin space isn’t well utilised and on many flights I have seen delays as a result of crew having to resolve the issue. These delays cost you a lot of money (as you know); 3. Really important - please try to do something about the cabin temperature during the Summer months. I appreciate your aircraft are often sitting on non-contact stands but no other airline that I fly with in the GCC has such an uncomfortably hot cabin temperature; 4. Re-evaluate your free catering offer. Better, healthier options exist that would likely cost you less to provide. I see a lot of waste or passengers simply declining. Free advice!
