Hey, good to be here. David Forney with Floodgate Medical as a talent advisor. Yeah. So a little bit about me. I recently retired as a U.S. Army Special Forces Green Beret of 24 years out of the dealer force base here in Tampa, FL Where floodgates at. I would say that this next challenge of this next phase is both rewarding and challenging at the same time. So one of the things I love the most about Floodgate Medical is they put people first. They value the humans and the development of the team members over the transactions. And I think that just kind of embodies our values and our vision here at Floodgate Medical. Yeah. So for as far as a skill that I'm trying to develop here at Floodgate Medical, and this is kind of like I think a lifelong learning aspect is emotional intelligence, EQ is something that we often overlook. And so I really want to improve on that as I continue to work with candidates and clients for Floodgate Medical. As we run into problem solving scenarios, I think the EQ is an imperative part of how we approach those. This question, so something that you don't know about me or something somebody would know as both my son and I share the same birthday. Yeah, I think this is a great question. I I get asked pretty regularly, like, hey, David, how's your schedule now that you're not in the military, you know, and you're, you know, you're kind of that nine to five, you know, Monday through Friday. And, you know, and I tell him I was like, it's actually, it's actually quite similar. You know, obviously I'm not deploying and I'm not going overseas, but the, the work here in stateside, you know, I get up, I've been able to help get the kids to school, you know, then I could still go work out. And so it's just a it's a seamless transition when it comes to the. Pattern that I had before, so very appreciative of that. So that's, that's been an easy step. I would say what excites me most about my role here at Florida Medical is the continuous challenge that you're given on a daily basis. And to me, excellence isn't something you just achieve and you maintain. It's something you have to strive for every single day. And I feel that you obviously have that opportunity here at at Luggage and I couldn't be happier about the opportunity to take that off. So when somebody asked me like, what's the best career advice I ever received, you know, a lot of things pop into my head. But I think one of the things that stood out to me most was actually specific moment where I had passed judgment on somebody. One of my teammates, you know, said, hey, Dave reaches up. And that kind of really struck a cord with me because I realized that I was feeling to look at any other perspectives other than my own. And it really changed how I approach being a leader and just kind of how I approach, you know, working with other people and understanding that the real person I need to focus on is this guy. One thing I've learned here at Floodgate Medical and is why I'm military background, no one knows me. I have to earn my place in this next chapter of of of my new career just like everybody else, and I wouldn't want it any other way.
