Workers Safety Course , Completed !

Having recently had a BHV ("First Responder") training at work, I was interested to find the course "Occupational Safety and Health: Fire and Emergency Preparedness" from Jim Rogers. The classifications of fire extinguishers was more detailed than we are taught here. Terms like 2A-10BC were unknown to me. We just have A, B, C, D, and F. How the letters are assigned is also not the same. This is obviously down to the differences between American and European standardisation.

🚧 SMSTS Course - Day 2 Highlights! 🚧 Just wrapped up Day 2 of the SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) course yesterday, and what a day! 📚 Today, we dove deep into health and safety legislation, risk assessments, and the critical role of site managers in creating a safe work environment. From analysing real-life case studies to discussing best practices, it's all about equipping ourselves to handle site safety with confidence and compliance.

One of the struggles when it comes to health and safety is the, "bigger picture" concept. Policies, procedures, laws, regulations and other standards are all in place to prevent injury or worse. The problem within this is that individuals don't give health and safety enough of their time or fail to recognize how the outcomes of their actions can truly effect the bigger pictures in their lives. Injuries both big and small can change not only our lives but the lives of the people around us. This video does a fantastic job of showing this in a manner that hits home with almost all of us. #TheBiggerPicture #Safety #WorkplaceInjury
