Diversity comes in many ways. The one thing that’s sure: it will make a team stronger. I am very happy to see our team growing with new and fresh perspectives. Vera Göllner, Lulit Indrias, and Angie Kreutz - great to have you on board! 🎉👏 The past two weeks we have been focused on creating connections between different teams and bringing in diverse perspectives to enhance our way of working, both with change and beyond. 🚀Our mid-Year S/4 United Change, Comms & Training team workshop kicked off a series of productive days. 🌈This was followed by our program-specific D&I info session pilot, titled "The many faces of diversity," which I had the pleasure of moderating. 🤝Finally, we joined forces with our sister program's CCT team to align and boost support for our rollout units in the future. June is just around the corner which means it’s the beginning of Pride month in Finland! 🌈 DEI stands for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, so what better way to acknowledge the beginning of pride month than with a bit of an update on our efforts. 🙏🏽 — Visma Finland’s DEI Taskforce was created to support our people with various backgrounds and the development of being a good & safe workplace for everyone. Our DEI Taskforce was kicked off in October 2021 and we are happy that the taskforce started by a few people is growing every year. Now we are already 10 individuals from 4 different Visma companies, working towards shared goals. 💛 The role of the taskforce is to pinpoint areas for improvement on the Visma Finland level and also follow global DEI trends in our industry. We also provide guidance to our companies and encourage everyone to consider their thinking and actions in different situations. Last year we produced short videos to social media about diversity and inclusion in Visma and coached our team leaders about unconscious bias and diversity. This year we have been gathering views about the current situation and promoting DEI themes bit by bit. We also had help from a skilled Management Trainee Jasmine, who created materials for our companies and individuals to use for promoting DEI. We also had an Inspirational Talk (meaning a keynote speech which is open to everyone working for Visma Finland), with Dakota Robin about inclusivity and unconscious bias. Lately we have been discussing ways of making our talent acquisition more inclusive to get more diverse talent in Visma Finland and gathering ideas on how to support DEI internally. In addition to the fact that we have done a lot of work at Visma in terms of raising awareness of diversity, equity and inclusion and making sure that these themes are present in our everyday life, we are also aware that we are not perfect yet.
