Holy moly, this Telehealth Controlled Prescribing regulations situation is fast moving. I'm legit getting like 2-3 articles every single day in my inbox. The latest: 🕐 DEA has delayed the effective date from February 18 to March 21, 2025. DEA is soliciting public comments regarding this delayed effective date; comments are due on February 28, 2025. 🕐 DEA has not yet addressed the Special Telemedicine Registration Proposed Rule, and as of now, it is still open for public comments through March 18. The big areas of advocacy are around: 🙏 Extend and/or make permanent COVID leniencies 🙏 Extending the arbitrary 6 month cut off for in-person visit needed 🙏 Remove <50% of Rx can be Schedule II requirement 🙏 Create a single universal DEA Telemedicine number rather than state-specific
