Last week, we faced a challenging ureteroscopy to remove a forgotten Allium stent, placed in 2016 for a ureteral leak caused by iatrogenic injury. Despite the manufacturer’s recommendation for removal within 3 years, this stent remained for 9 years⚠️becoming completely encrusted and causing severe pyohydronephrosis.
