To get started, I'm now going to walk you through four steps you can take to improve your local SEO and therefore your Google rankings. The four steps are to create a Google Business profile, create local friendly content, to create location specific pages and blog content and get reviews. Step one, create a Google Business profile. Your Google Business profile is the foundation. Of local seo this is what shows up when someone searches for your business or the related services near them. It can either come U like something like this or like this and to set it up go to Google search Google business profile to start claim your business and verify it then fill it out completely add your business hours phone number website and photos and make sure to add your keywords in your description here. So if we keep with our same example if you're a life insurance provider in Vancouver. You would include phrases like life insurance plans in Vancouver or affordable life insurance near me for a Vancouver life insurance business you could write this like what you see on screen. And remember to keep your profile updated, so continuously add new photos, update your hours, and include any relevant promotions. Step 2. Create local friendly content. Google loves content that's specific to your area. Think about local topics that your audience could care about. So, for example, you write about common questions your clients would ask. Use local data or stats to make your content more relevant for them, and share tips specific to your city or neighborhood. This type of content typically builds trust with your audience and will ultimately help you rank higher in those local search results. Step 3. Create location specific pages and blog content. If you serve multiple areas or neighborhoods in your city, creating location specific pages can help boost your rankings. So here's what I recommend. The first is to make separate pages. So create a dedicated service page for each area you serve, like life insurance services in downtown Vancouver and then again a page. Life insurance services in Kitsilano next highlight local features, mentioned landmarks, neighborhoods, or local events. So for example, you could say something like conveniently located near Stanley Park. This makes your business more relatable to local customers and also boost your SCO. And lastly, create blog content. You can write a post like Why Kitsilano families or Choosing Life insurance in 2025. And if writing isn't your thing, that's okay, Durables Blog Builder can handle it for you. It even optimizes all of the content for SEO. Step 4. Get reviews. Reviews are a game changer for local SEO. They show and tell Google and potential customers that your business is trusted. Here's how to get them. First, ask happy clients for a quick Google review. You can even send them a direct link. Respond to all reviews. Make sure to thank people for the positive ones and address concerns in the negative ones. And lastly, share your reviews on your website and social media. On screen, you'll see a simple. Script that you can use when reaching out for reviews and make sure to aim for steady reviews overtime, not a flood all at once. This could look a little spammy to Google. And there you have it, 4 easy steps to rank number one on Google in 2025. Remember, local SEO is all about consistency.
