Everyone remembered the Nilla Wafers and taco nights. Had the honor of attending a celebration of life for a 99- and 103-year-old couple who passed within a year of one another. As I didn’t know the couple well, I wasn’t sure what to expect from the service or to be as deeply moved as I was by the stories that were shared. I was struck by how much of my time I spend thinking about things that won’t make much of a difference in the impact I make during my short time here. As I think about the legacy I leave, I will look to Marg and Lloyd for the example they set. My takeaways: • What their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren remembered most was their love, the way they lived their lives, and how they treated others. • Memories were mostly about quality time spent with family (often over tacos and Nilla wafers). Traditions matter. • What they said mattered much less than what they did. How does this relate to my approach to work and life? • The relationships I build along the way are worth far more than the title or the paycheck. • The traditions we create don’t have to be Instaworthy, they just have to be real. • The moments matter. Between coworkers, friends and families. Take the time, make the connections. Everyone wins.

Get your Christmas Party tickets while they're hot! It’s never too early to put plans in place for your end of year celebrations allowing you to relax in the knowledge that there will be no last-minute rush. We have many customers who choose to book their Christmas parties with us early in the year. Here’s 5 reasons why… 1. Reserve your preferred party date before it sells out! Some of our popular weekend dates sell out by the summer. If you have a large group, or your date is fixed, make sure to book early so you don’t miss out. 2. Get the date in the diaries of your friends and colleagues before their social calendar fills up! No one wants to experience FOMO (as the kids say, translated as the ‘Fear Of Missing Out’). 3. Stay ahead of the crowd and secure nearby accommodation if required. Our venues are all located near a range of hotels. But it’s a busy time of year and rooms can get more expensive and more difficult to come by the later you leave it. 4. Help your guests to budget so they can plan ahead for the party of the year – and sort out that all important outfit! 5. Relax… in the knowledge that everything is in place ready for a night to remember. And don’t forget, that our easy-to-use online portal and automated e-ticketing system makes every stage of your planning a breeze. Find your nearest venue: https://lnkd.in/egMUZ-N4

Today, I'm lucky enough to celebrate another birthday: we've made it to level 33! 32 was a fantastic year: I joined the PureCars team, experienced both personal and professional growth, and achieved so many of the goals I wanted to knock out in the year. There were so many lessons I learned at 32, but here are just a few that stood out: 1.) Recognize and Proactively Fight Burnout: Communicate when you're approaching burnout and work with your team and managers--candid, honest and respectful conversations tend to lead to stronger trust within your teams. 2.) Re-evaluate how you prioritize your to-do's: I had a bit of a process spring cleaning last year: in a world where everything needs to be done 5 minutes ago, revisit what's actually considered an emergency and what can be project-managed out. You'll save your sanity and prevent the dreaded 13/14 hour days. 3.) Don't leave friends and family on the back burner: We've got one life to live, spend it with those who care about you: work smart during the day, so that you can enjoy the quality time with loved ones after. Here's to another year of progress, growth and adventures in The Windy City!

✨ Creativity That Connects Life & Work ✨ Leah Hennessey, one of our talented design strategists, shared her hand-drawn holiday card—a beautifully illustrated reflection of her family. This card isn’t just about holiday cheer; it’s a glimpse into how Leah’s creativity shines in every part of her life. 💌 As Rachel Link put it so perfectly, “The love, the mess, and everything in between—all so intentional.” While work and life are distinct, there’s a common thread at LINK: creativity and purpose. It’s not just a job—it’s about connecting deeply with what we do and who we do it for. Here’s to continuing to celebrate creativity and connection, both inside and outside of work. 💙 #LifeAtLINK #CreativityAndConnection #TeamLINK
This was our holiday card that I sent out this year (to not nearly as many people as I’d originally hoped)! I decided to draw our family because 1) that’s fun 2) getting a picture of a toddler wannabe Olympic sprinter in a holiday dress wasn’t going to go over well. Elise turns two today. So in addition to all the New Year reflecting, I’ve also been thinking about how much she’s grown in the last year. She’s a ball of light that keeps us moving and dancing, reading and learning, messy and full of love. I hope I get the chance to draw our family card every year, because this is how I see us - moving and dancing, reading and learning, messy and full of love - and I’m glad to show other people what I see. Happy Holidays. Happy New Year. Love, Leah

Planning Christmas activities for both staff and the community can take a lot of work alongside day to day business tasks. We started planning a month ago! How do you juggle finding time to prepare for Christmas and ensuring day to day business continues as normal? and the big question is, is it ever too early to start? 🎄 As a big Christmas fan, my answer is no, it’s never too early! But between Christmas social media content, client messages, staff Christmas parties, community/charity support and more… time can escape you very quickly! We like to make sure we have a team involved, rather than it being one person’s responsibility so we can achieve more in a shorter space of time and it remains manageable! P.S Can you spot what they are making? 👀
Our creative team have started Christmas preparations for one of our annual traditions... it's never too early! 🎄
