Honoring Vietnam Veterans: Then, Now and Always On National Vietnam War Veterans Day, we pause to honor the courage, sacrifice, and service of those who served during one of our nation’s most challenging conflicts. During the Vietnam War, DLA – then known as the Defense Supply Agency – played a vital role, delivering fuel, food, clothing, medical supplies and construction materials to U.S. forces operating in a complex and demanding environment. Our support helped sustain Warfighters in the field and laid the foundation for how we deliver global logistics today. That mission hasn’t changed. Today, DLA continues to stand behind every service member, ensuring they have the right supplies at the right time – just as we did over 50 years ago. To our Vietnam Veterans: We remember. We honor.
