Think your business is ready for investment? Axelrod would tear it apart in 10 seconds: Online gurus say “don’t watch TV.” But let’s be real… a little great TV can go a LONG way. I recently watched an episode of Billions. Bobby Axelrod (Hedge fund mogul) tore into his wife’s business. It was brutal. It was brilliant. It was real. She wanted investors. He hit her with this: What makes you the best in the world at what you do? Did you invent anything? A formula? A delivery method? Is anything you do patentable or a unique user experience? Have you isolated a market segment? Have you branded your concept? Then he delivered the knockout: "So why would any investor put serious money into this?" That’s the truth bomb every entrepreneur needs to face. Before you ask for serious investment, ask yourself: Are you actually unique? Can you prove your idea is worth it? Does your business have something no one else can claim? If the answer is “no,” you’ve got work to do. And fast. Investors don’t throw cash at average ideas. They want the best. And here’s the thing: Watching great content like this inspires great thinking. It forces you to ask the tough questions about your own business. So, yeah… I watch TV. But only the kind that sparks next-level ideas. P.S my first business was in media production. So I'm a sucker for great high-quality visuals. Who watches Billions?

"The pitch doesn’t end after you speak…" ❓ You’ve just wrapped up your pitch… but here comes the real test: the investor questions. Nailing the Q&A can be the difference between walking away empty-handed or securing that crucial funding. Early on, we didn’t realize how vital it was to prepare for this part of the process, thinking we could just improvise. Big mistake. Here’s what we learned about getting ready for investor questions... 🔥 3 Tips for Tackling Investor Q&A with Confidence: Anticipate the Hard Questions: Think about what investors are most likely to ask—budget concerns, timeline challenges, or risks—and have answers ready. The more prepared you are, the more confident you’ll feel. Reframe Tough Questions as Opportunities: Instead of seeing questions as obstacles, view them as a chance to further sell your project. A well-thought-out answer can demonstrate you’ve considered all angles and have a solid plan. Stay Calm and Listen Carefully: Sometimes, in the heat of the moment, it’s easy to rush into an answer. Take a breath. Listen carefully to what they’re asking and then respond with clarity and purpose. Handling investor questions is about more than knowing your project—it’s about showing you’re ready to face the challenges ahead and bring your vision to life. The more you prepare, the more confidence you’ll have to own the room. How do you prepare for investor questions? 🌟 Mindset Matters with Dr Amita 🌟 How to convince an investor to invest in your business? Finding an investor is not a problem. Everything can be bought and sold - there are forums and Telegram channels where investors are looking for projects, and projects are looking for investors. Your task is to carry out preparatory work and come to the investor with a ready-made proposal and concrete figures. This work can be packaged in 4 steps: 1. Research the market. Spend time on forums and in telegram channels where investments and selling businesses are discussed. Analyzing information daily (at least 15-20 minutes) will help you understand what investors are looking for and what projects catch their attention. 2- Define your goal. Investors want to see not just an idea, but a clearly laid out plan with specific goals. For example, if your goal is to open 10 more computer repair outlets, be prepared to present a detailed action plan and calculations. 3. Calculate the resources needed. Clearly define how much money you need to achieve your goal. Evaluate the current state of your business (point A) and the potential after the plan is implemented (point B). This will show investors that you are serious about planning and calculations. 4. Convince yourself of your calculations. To convince an investor, you must be confident in your business plan. Know the key metrics and strategies to achieve your goals. Your confidence and willingness to dialog will make you a reliable partner for the investor. Investors are not only looking for ideas and startups, but also for entrepreneurs with profitable, systematic and self-sustaining businesses that can scale. Your job is to show that your business meets these requirements. And where to start systematizing - I'll tell you in the next post. #Performance #Innvoative #Nevergiveup #Creative #Addvalue #Createmorevalue #Beourself Success stories ll Dr Amita Sharma podcast
