Devon Marrott, MS Industrial Organizational Psychology’s Post

One of the most rewarding aspects of teaching is hearing from former students as they advance in their careers or pursue graduate studies. Yesterday, I received an email from a student now working towards a graduate degree in industrial-organizational psychology. They shared: "My classes are going really well! I need to thank you because I feel so prepared for almost every topic, from Job Analysis to Organizational Structure. I've received praise for emphasizing the importance of consistency within an organization, but that idea was ingrained in me through your classes." This is what makes education so impactful—it goes beyond the classroom. Students carry the principles, knowledge, and insights gained into the working world, applying them to develop both hard and soft skills. Industrial-organizational psychology, in particular, offers incredibly practical tools for workplace dynamics, helping employees and organizations thrive. It also lays a strong foundation for graduate-level work.

Devon, thanks from Tennessee! Send some graduates my way to the I-O M.S. program at UT Chattanooga! I loved the program here and am still living in the area working.

Love this! Even though my journey did not take me to a grad program in I/O, I've been blessed with many great opportunities in the corporate sphere - thanks to the BYUI I/O program. Thank you for all you do, Devon!
