Three new projects have been awarded Major Project Status, contributing to Australia’s economic growth and 2050 net zero goals. - Sunlands Eyre Peninsula Graphite Hub will produce and refine graphite on a global scale, contributing to the production of materials needed in renewable batteries. - Sunrise Battery Materials Complex will mine critical minerals for the lithium-ion battery market. This includes nickel and cobalt, as well as the rare alloying metal, scandium. - Western Green Energy Hub will produce up to 70 gigawatts of wind and solar capacity once at full-scale. Creating up to 3.5 million tonnes of green hydrogen and e-fuels every year.
