Hey Asian friends - tomorrow begins AAPI month. Try not to let a broader #outdoorindustry relegate your company to the race of its ownership. If your company product/brand is uniquely Asian sure, then it makes cents! Twrl Milk Tea Gold House Rooted Fare 👏 for example. Otherwise, a vision that transcends race builds a company that transcends it too. #founderthoughts #outdoorindustry

The life of beer promoters in Cambodia is marked by deep struggle and adversity. Often drawn into this line of work out of necessity, they face the harsh reality of a world where they are seen as mere objects of desire. These women are frequently subjected to sexual exploitation, harassment, and even violence as they navigate a space where their safety and dignity are constantly at risk. They endure the dangers of the night, facing unwanted advances and physical abuse, with many falling victim to the darker facets of human trafficking. In this role, they are often stripped of their identity, reduced to a fleeting gaze or a temporary conquest in the eyes of those they serve. This life is a cycle of fleeting hopes and endless strife, where survival comes at the cost of their well-being and self-worth. Despite the neon lights and seemingly vibrant settings of bars and clubs, these women endure silent battles, their voices unheard amidst the clinking glasses and music. Their plight is a stark reminder of the need for awareness and action against the exploitation and abuse that beer promoters face. This tragic reality underscores the urgent need for greater protections, support systems, and societal change to ensure a safer, more dignified existence for these women.

Crafting the legendary Cohiba cigar At the heart of Cohiba's remarkable journey is Jorge Luís Fernández Maique, the co-president of Habanos S.A. Maique's passion for Cuban tobacco began in 1987 when he joined Cubatabaco, immersing himself in the intricacies of tobacco cultivation and blending. It was this deep knowledge that inspired Maique to spearhead the creation of the first-ever Cohiba Behike in 2006, paying homage to the legendary Behike, a former chieftain of the indigenous Taino tribe. But Maique's innovations didn't stop there - in 2010, he led the introduction of the Cohiba Behike BHK line, a groundbreaking release that incorporated the rare and elusive medio tiempo leaf. As Maique explains, ""I didn't do anything new. What I did was a copy."" By resurrecting this forgotten tobacco varietal, he elevated the Cohiba experience, catering to the discerning palates of today's cigar enthusiasts. Maique's dedication to quality and innovation has been the driving force behind Cohiba's enduring success. Under his leadership, this iconic Cuban cigar brand continues to captivate cigar lovers around the world. What is it about the Cohiba brand that resonates most with you as a cigar connoisseur? I'd love to hear your thoughts. #cigartrends #cigarindustry #marketinsights #cigarlover #CigarIndustry #CubanCigars #CohibaHistory #TobaccoBlending #CigarInnovation #PremiumCigars #BusinessLeaders #LinkedInConnection
