Following an inaugural meeting today in Parliament, the All Party Parliamentary Group for Events was formally reconstituted, with Shaun Davies, Member of Parliament for Telford, being elected as Chair. We will now submit the necessary paperwork to the Parliamentary Commissioner for Standards, and begin planning the activities of the new APPG, which will focus on helping to grow the UK event economy. Davies Tanner, through its The Business of Events Think Tank and Advocacy Network, will continue to act as the Official Secretariat and Special Advisors to the APPG. Very pleased to have been able to get the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Events back up and running following the general election, and grateful to Shaun Davies for taking on the role of Chair and to other Members of Parliament for agreeing to act as Officers.
