The persistent gender disparities in Venture Capital concern me. Companies founded solely by women received only 2% of all VC investment in 2022, and merely about 15% of VC ‘cheque-writers’ are women. A recent Inc. Magazine article highlights how some female founders continue to lose deals due to lasting skepticism and the ripple effects of Elizabeth Holmes’ downfall. Women should always have a seat at the table but decisions made by venture capitalists – often touted as fuel for startups - remain riddled with bias.  We owe it to ourselves and future generations to dismantle these entrenched myths and empower bold, diverse career choices. Unlike traditional Venture Capital (VC) firms that invest in predominantly male, white, and Ivy-League-educated entrepreneurs, Daring Ventures supports renegade first-time founders from unclassified sectors and untapped markets. We cannot shatter the iceberg alone, but by uplifting underrepresented founders—especially women who dare to dream—we can supercharge the future of America. https://lnkd.in/g2W8Yh-z
