The problem is that many people just look at the scores and go from there. In many instances the biggest model isn't the best model (or is overkill) for the workload. It's really the fault of the industry. We've trained people to believe that the scores are the most important metric and the largest scores will go to the largest models (usually). Everyone was so interested in simplifying the selling cycle that we created this demon and we can no longer contain its influence.

Day 2/7 📌Lesson 2 “Give yourself permission to take up space” We are still on the lessons from the discussion I led on Confidence on the WFL platform. While typing, curiosity caught up with me because I wanted to know what google thinks about the above statement and I couldn’t be more proud. Google 1 : When you take up space, you are reminding yourself that your thoughts, feelings, and actions are valid and worthy, that you're someone who can make a difference, that you can advocate for your needs, and that's powerful. Google 2 : Metaphorically, taking up space means allowing yourself to be seen and heard, expressing your ideas and opinions with conviction, and having the courage to occupy the space you rightfully deserve. In a nutshell, give yourself permission to do, think and feel.

It's great schadenfreude to watch Google blunder its way into another AI debacle, but make no mistake. AI-generated disinformation is not a bug someone can "fix" like a broken link or memory leak. When Google's new AI Overview tells you to glue cheese on a pizza or Obama was the first Muslim president, it's only operating as designed, and there will never be enough guardrails to cover every edge case. Instead of bubble-wrapping the bayonet, we should think about which use cases are suited to AI and which aren't.
