What I learnt from two days of back to back workshops, seminars and panel discussions activities at the Dublin Tech Summit . - The world is constantly moving and evolving and you have to move with it or remain stagnant, and if you remain stagnant for too long you might not be able to recover because every hour you lost snoozing someone created something new or upgraded something existing. So imagine being stuck in version 1 when the whole world is in 2.5. - Finally, the ethical side of AI/technology is a very important conversation we must continue to have and dig deeper into as we evolve. With certain scenarios like the likes in the viral documentary ‘Ashley Madison’ we can see that we have so many questions unawnsered and so many more to ask. #dubtechsummit #dublintech #dublintechsummit2024

The Role of Civil Society A well-informed civil society is essential to prompt decisive action from institutions and governments. That’s why we build fusion-powered AGI scenarios to benefit all of humanity. However, we currently lack the scientific and technical tools to control or even reliably predict the behavior of a superintelligent AI in real world scenarios with internet access. Current alignment techniques, which rely on human - AI supervision, are fundamentally inadequate to handle an intelligence far exceeding our own.

The Bloom AI team just nailed their latest seminar on AI in Government. A necessary dive into the present reality of how AI is reshaping the work we do (and how). With rapidly evolving digital landscapes, it’s equal parts exhilarating and terrifying, and I'm here for it! As important as the tech and capability - discussions on equity, inclusion, and ethical considerations have been really interesting... 4 years on, and the doco Coded Bias still has a lot to say about emerging tech and the baked-in bias of data sources.
