Great Taste Awards This has a warm amber colour with a satisfying viscosity but surprisingly little aroma – we struggle to detect any character on the nose. We particularly like the almost chewy texture. It has a gentle flavour, not too sweet and with a faint medicinal note at the end. While the flavour lingers, the antiseptic note is really the only notable characteristic. Very modest taste. This is a truly lovely pine honey, slightly cloudy while a deep amber-gold in aspect, and with a wonderfully syrupy viscosity. Both aroma and palate carry gentle but unmistakable notes of pine and lightly resinous wood, allied to a surprisingly subtle sweetness, not in the least cloying. Palate delivery is even, with considerable, if again relatively gentle, length. Not hugely impactful, perhaps, but delightful in its balance and length. This is an intriguing, complex honey with beautiful, rich pine notes. We found it delicate for a pine honey, resinous and with nuanced medicinal undertones. It is outstanding for its savoury qualities. This clear, pale caramel honey has a very appealing, thick, treacly consistency and melts slowly in the mouth to release a rounded sweetness that lingers long with elegant delicacy.

Let's get cozy and flirtatious with a cocktail that's as smooth as it is strong - my own twisted version of the classic Old Fashioned. Picture this: a chilled glass, a flickering orange peel ignited to set the mood. We're off to a tantalizing start. I like to build my drink right in the glass - it's all about the seduction. A sugar cube (go wild with brown or play it safe with white) gets cozy with a splash of soda water, creating a delicious dance of sweetness. Cue the entrance of 3 dashes of Angostura Bitters, adding a touch of naughty spice to the mix. Now, it's time for the main event - 3oz of robust bourbon join the party, making the perfect partner for our sultry concoction. Stir it just right, darling, we want it smooth like a whisper in the night. And don't forget the grand finale - ignite that orange peel once more, releasing its enticing aroma around the glass like a sensual perfume. Top it off with a cherry, the cherry on top, the final touch of decadence. Sip slowly, let the intense flavors swirl around your palate, and watch as your worries melt away like a candle in the moonlight. Here's to turning a stressful day into a sultry, beautiful affair. #CocktailSeduction #MixologyMagic #FlirtWithFlavor #oldfashioned 🍸💋🔥

Does the color of spirit indicate quality ? When it comes to spirits, the color does not necessarily imply the quality or taste of the drink. For instance, a clear whiskey can be just as smooth and refined as a darker, richer whiskey. The color of a spirit can be misleading for several reasons: 1️⃣ Some spirits have caramel coloring added to achieve a certain look. This doesn’t affect taste or quality, but it can influence your perception. 2️⃣ Filtration can remove color from a spirit. For example, many aged spirits are filtered to appear clear, so a lack of color doesn’t mean they lack complexity. 3️⃣ While aging in oak barrels can add color, spirits can also be aged in stainless steel or used barrels, resulting in a lighter hue. The color doesn’t always reflect the spirit’s maturity or flavor depth. The true measure of quality in a spirit lies in its taste, aroma, and texture. A well-crafted spirit will have a balanced profile, with a harmonious blend of flavors and a pleasing mouthfeel.\ Have you been surprised by the taste of a spirit despite its color? Share your experiences in the comments and follow me for more insights. Cheers! #sonalholland #masterofwine #spiritscolor #spiritsquality #whisky #whiskey #whiskeytips #whiskyexpert

We all have either received or been gifted a a box of chocolates at some point in our lives. Whether you’re a fan of the smooth creaminess of white chocolate or drawn to the rich, complex flavours of dark chocolate, there’s something undeniably special about chocolate. With countless flavour combinations and textures to explore, there’s always a new treat to discover. But what is it that makes chocolate so special, and why is it such a popular gift? Chocolate isn't a modern creation. Its history spans over 3,000 years, dating back to the ancient Mayans and Aztecs, who revered it as the "food of the gods." For them, chocolate was more than just a delicacy—it was a symbol of luxury, wealth, and power. When given as a gift, it conveyed sentiments of respect and high regard. This deep-rooted association with decadence is what makes chocolate the perfect way to express care and appreciation, no matter the occasion. Opening a beautifully packaged box of chocolates is an experience in itself, turning any moment into a special occasion. Chocolate isn’t just about the taste but the entire experience. At Velvet Fine Chocolates, we take great care to ensure our chocolates look as exquisite as they taste, making them the perfect gift to share and enjoy. #VelvetFineChocolates #gifting #customisation

Conventional with a twist! 🍓 🥝 Familiar and nostalgic flavours are increasingly mingled in novel and attractive combinations. Sometimes adjacent colours in the spectrum are selected: like in a tropical mango–passion fruit blend, but sometimes very dissimilar colours are blended, like in strawberry-kiwi mix. What would the colour of a kiwi and strawberry juice be? A very dirty brownish pink, one would think! Which colour would you select, taking into consideration the expected sensory input, the predominant flavour and the preference of the target consumer—in the case of our strawberry-kiwi, would it be green or red? Let us know what you think the colour of these flavour combinations could be! Introducing our July Flavour of the Month: White Peach 🍑 White peach is chosen for its distinctive, delicate flavour that sets it apart from its yellow-fleshed counterparts. It offers a refined tasting experience, blending floral notes with a hint of acidity that perfectly balances its sweetness, making it a delightful addition to many summer beverages. 🌺 🍹 The popularity of peach flavours in drinks can be partly attributed to the influence of design and fashion trends, such as the Pantone Colour of the Year. When Pantone announced "Peach Fuzz" as a prominent colour for 2024, it impacted various industries, including food and beverages. The light pinky/orange hue has a strong visual appeal, providing a sense of warmth and freshness and evoking memories of light summer evenings. The potential for new peach-flavoured products is extensive: carbonates, confectionary, flavoured alcoholic drinks, and ice cream. It even works well in savoury dishes, pairing beautifully with prosciutto, burrata, and thyme. 3moAbsolute scammers of a company. Thousands of customers ordered and orders missing, not refunded, zero communication, only bots answering. Absolutely pathetic and disgusting.
