Hopefully they can incentivize airlines by providing free gate and routing space at secondary markets! Growing up in a small town in Bay Area, it always amazed me when getting to leave town to go see new places. Today, not living in California for so many years, I can say there are so many great things that can bring tourism to so many small and middle market economies in California. For example, it was a big deal when Allegiant started service at SCK. Or how JSX is growing Concord and how the city invested in a nice new terminal area. With all the different festivals or being able to go boating on the delta or flying down to Ontario to go to the mountains or beach, can be very enticing. Glad that Visit California is attempting to take new initiatives!
