The Mechanisation and mass production methods that came with the Industrial Revolution brought us cheaper products that were affordable to many more people. It is a process that continues to this day. Smaller, shinier products that do more and more for less and less. But what is going wrong and how can we fix it? Come to the Engineering Design Show (EDS) on October 10th and hear my presentation titled 'Bridging Innovations: Uniting Engineering Design, Sustainability, and Business Development through the 'as a Service' delivery model. This morning, I’m back at Test by Design with Emma exploring how we push our barriers to their limits. 🚧 With high-speed cameras capturing every detail, we analyse speed, deflection, and pinpoint areas to improve. It's a precise process where each test informs the next version, ensuring constant refinement and innovation. 💡 True progress comes from that willingness to learn, iterate, and improve - even when things don’t go as planned! Growth often starts with understanding where things can be better. 👉Rigorously tested. Independently certified. Unbeatable return on investment. Soon after deploying automated logistics, we got questions around how to tie it together with the automated robotics inside factories and warehouses. This is one of our initiatives in the area, but logistics is diverse and will require many solutions to enable automated electric supply chains.
Meet the initiative aimed at accelerating the transition to autonomous and electric supply chains. With the SCALE project, Einride is working with Chalmers University of Technology, MariTerm AB, Toyota Material Handling Europe, SKF Group and the University of Gothenburg to further develop autonomous solutions that will address numerous challenges faced by the sector today.
