County of Imperial’s Post

🇺🇸 Powering America’s Future: Advancing Lithium Valley with the White House and U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) ⚡️ The County of Imperial met with the White House Intergovernmental Affairs team and the U.S. Department of Energy to discuss how Lithium Valley can play a pivotal role in securing America’s energy future. By leveraging Imperial County’s vast #geothermal and #lithium resources, we have a generational opportunity to strengthen U.S. supply chain resiliency, advance baseload energy solutions, and establish a domestic supply of critical minerals—all while creating good-paying jobs and sustainable economic growth for our community. At the heart of this effort is the Lithium Valley Specific Plan (LVSP), a first-of-its-kind ecosystem that co-locates processing, manufacturing, logistics, and recycling. This integrated approach ensures that the full lithium lifecycle—from extraction to end-use—is developed efficiently, sustainably, and right here in the United States. Additionally, the LVSP lays the group work for data centers, hydrogen, and many of our futures needs! By building this comprehensive supply chain, we are not only supporting national energy security but also positioning Imperial County as a global leader in energy innovation. We appreciate the Trump Administration’s continued engagement and look forward to further collaboration to unlock the full potential of Lithium Valley. Together, we are powering the future! #LithiumValley #EnergySecurity #CriticalMinerals #BaseloadEnergy #ImperialCounty #SupplyChainResilience Jesus Eduardo Escobar, Ryan Kelley, Bari Bean, Cynthia Cortina, Eric Mahroum
