In prepping for the The National Sports Forum virtual fall summit Career Development session with my fabulous colleagues Gary Bernstein and Luke Edwards, one topic we are discussing and looking for valuable insights is on the critical role of power (aka soft) skills in today's workforce. I'm collecting short stories that highlight the transformative impact of power skills in professional settings. According to Fast Company, “in the AI age, employers expect to increasingly value “soft skills” that enhance human interactions and foster rich, people-centered company cultures. “ Have you or someone you know leveraged a power skill that made a difference at work in the sports industry? If you aren’t in the sports industry, I bet you have experiences from a fan perspective. Funny stories welcome 🤣 .
