What a brilliant day at Newhaven Fort! We were joined by almost 40 built environment professionals for our behind-the-scenes event with Constructing Excellence Sussex Club, where we shared more about the work that went into restoring this iconic site. Guests heard from Alan Corbett MSc FCIArb MCIOB, Ryan Stock at Pritchard Architecture, Phil Erridge from IWA M&E Consulting Engineers and Nigel Hosker from HOP Consulting Limited about the work on the project, before heading out on a tour of the Fort to see the improvements up close. There was plenty of chat about the challenges and specialist techniques involved, and even more enthusiasm for the finished results – with many saying they can’t wait to bring their families back for a visit. We’re incredibly proud to have played our part in revitalising Newhaven Fort – a Scheduled Ancient Monument of national importance – alongside such a skilled and dedicated project team. #Newhaven #Restoration #HistoricBuildings
