I can't see it happening, they have thrown too much political will into it. Doing so should certainly cost Reeves her job, and probably threaten Starmers position as well. Who would step up?

I look forward to the day when we don't see political posts on LinkedIn. Point scoring, soundbites isn't helping the British people, can you guys take this divisive talk to Twitter or another social media platform 🤷🏽♂️

The Struggles of UK Hospitality – What's Wrong and How to Fix It; The UK hospitality industry is facing challenging times. From staff shortages to rising costs, many hotels, restaurants, and pubs are struggling to survive. What's the problem? Lack of staff: Since Brexit and the pandemic, many workers left the industry and haven’t come back. High costs: Food, energy, and rent prices have all gone up. Fewer customers: With the cost of living rising, people are spending less on eating out or staying in hotels. Who's to blame? Brexit: Made it harder for foreign workers to stay and work in the UK. COVID-19: Forced many businesses to close, and workers found jobs in other industries. Government policies: Some say there's not enough support for hospitality businesses. What can be done? Better pay and training to attract and keep workers. Government support, like tax cuts or grants, is to help businesses survive. Encourage tourism to bring more customers in. The hospitality industry is a big part of the UK economy and culture. If action isn't taken soon, more businesses could close for good. A.M Cornwall 31/03/2025

Must say I had lost all confidence in the Tories and did not vote at all last time. However.... how on earth did Rachel Reeves inherit the strongest growth in the G7 advanced economies and then manage to tank it so badly, almost Truss-ian levels of damage? Council tax, water, energy, stamp duty, broadband, TV licence, road tax - all going up from April. Seriously think she should consider getting Rishi/Jeremy on a consultancy basis to advice how they lifted our economy, after Truss debacle, to a stable and business confident level? We under-estimated their work and achievements, I think, and the steady hand on the tiller.
