Laura Hope the following is helpful 🚨 PSA for Hurricane Milton Preparations: Install iOS 18 and Use Messages via Satellite! 🚨 As Hurricane Milton approaches Florida, I want to highlight a crucial aspect of your emergency preparedness: updating to iOS 18 to utilize the new Messages via Satellite feature. With the threat of cell towers being knocked out, having the ability to send messages via satellite could be a lifesaver. This feature allows you to stay connected with family and friends even when conventional networks are down. Here’s a quick guide on how to enable and test this feature after installing iOS 18: Open the Settings app. Navigate to Apps > Messages. Scroll down and select Satellite Connection Demo to familiarize yourself with the process. This update is essential for anyone in the hurricane's path, ensuring you can share critical updates about your safety and whereabouts. Remember, Messages via Satellite requires an iPhone 14 or later. Have you updated yet? If you’re in the path of Hurricane Milton or know someone who is, please prioritize this update. Stay safe, Florida! 🌀🌪️
