As we wrap up the week, one thing stands out, and I'm incredibly grateful for it today: Team. Your team is everything. Be thankful for them. Take the time to let them know. And if you work for or with someone who doesn’t do this, quit and go find someone who will. You deserve to be a part of a great team. You can go very fast alone, and slowing down to define things and get everyone aligned is hard work. But it’s the work you have to do to go far. It may feel frustrating and slow, but it’s what builds legacies. It’s what allows you to pass on generational wealth and success. For those who know me, I like to go fast, so slowing down is hard. But I’ve learned that the journey is more rewarding when you go far together. Let’s build something lasting, something meaningful. Here's to the teams that make it all possible. As I celebrate another year today, I reflect on one of the most valuable lessons I’ve learned, both personally and professionally. The path to true success is simple: love what you do and do it with people you love. This mindset not only drives satisfaction but also fuels sustained progress in everything we pursue. When we are passionate about your work, challenges become opportunities. That enthusiasm fosters a sense of purpose and resilience, which leads to greater satisfaction and fulfillment. Working alongside people you respect and enjoy being around magnifies this effect. Strong, trusted relationships create an environment where collaboration, creativity, and support thrive. As we all push towards our goals, it’s worth pausing to ask: Am I loving what I do, and am I doing it with people I love? Cheers to success, fulfillment, and lasting progress!

It’s been a while since I’ve shared here, and taking a moment to reflect, I can see how pivotal moments have shaped my career. One stands out. For nearly 20 years, I worked side by side with a founder/CEO, scaling a company from a scrappy startup into a national success. At the core of everything we built were people, culture, and community—values that defined not just our growth, but my leadership style. As the company evolved, so did its priorities. While it continued to thrive, I found myself at a crossroads, questioning whether the new direction aligned with what had always driven me. After much reflection, I made the difficult decision to step away. Not because I wasn’t proud of what we built, but because I knew I needed to be in an environment where my leadership could have the greatest impact. Now, I’m looking ahead with excitement. I’m eager to bring my experience in scaling businesses, aligning teams, and driving strategy to a new opportunity—one that values innovation, collaboration, and purpose-driven leadership. If you’ve ever found yourself reassessing what truly motivates you, you know how defining these moments can be. For me, this is an exciting time to build something new with a team that shares my vision for growth, culture, and impact. Let’s connect. I’d love to hear what you’re working on and where we might align!

Gen Z, we're early in our careers, which means we have a world of opportunities. But we're only as good as our last success. The last big project that was a big win. The last presentation where you killed it. The last time you solved a huge problem saving everyone time. We shouldn't let ourselves lose motivation. Instead we should use our wins to move forward. I've been complacent. Patting myself on the back for a win that's months old. Not using that momentum. That's what you shouldn't do. Take what you've done and compound it. You can always do better. While still appreciating your wins and accomplishments. This means taking time to celebrate. And still looking towards the future. What was your last big win?

Someone told me thank you for my work the other day. It was not unusual, and it was not a huge, public recognition. Just a simple thank you. And that simple thank you uplifted my day. I was physically, mentally, and emotionally spent. But that one thank you energized me. Here’s why: - It reminded me that the work I was doing, regardless of any external factors, impacted others positively at the end of the day. My work was of service, and it reminded me of that. - It reminded me that whatever challenges I may face, it all pales in comparison to the kindness and support found in these relationships. - It reignited my passion for that specific task/project that I could find no motivation for in that moment. - It showed me that even that small task I completed for this person made a big difference in biting off pieces of that large and looming project. That small act of gratitude reminded me that the large project was doable, through small wins. A kind word goes a long way! I was (and continue to always be) immensely grateful for these small (yet hugely impactful) moments of exchanged kindness and care.

Thursday Gratitude: Mile Markers Today, I’m reflecting on the power of mile markers—those moments that remind us how far we’ve come and inspire us to keep going. I’m so grateful for the positive reinforcements along the way, like billboards of encouragement and banners that celebrate teamwork and achievement. Positive reinforcement isn’t just about the destination; it’s about recognizing the small wins that propel us forward. Whether it’s a literal sign or a heartfelt “great job” from someone who sees your effort, these moments matter. Success itself is a form of motivation. It builds momentum, fuels our energy, and reinforces the habits that make us better. It reminds us that we’re on the right path. And just like with teaching a new skill or building a good habit, every bit of positive feedback strengthens our commitment to the journey. What’s your “mile marker” this week? What’s given you that extra boost to keep going? Let’s share and celebrate those moments together. 💬
