Since 1997, he has been involved in the introduction and support of police IT applications for criminal investigations in the Schleswig-Holstein state police and later headed the IT department for crime prevention at the Landeskriminalamt in Kiel. In this role, he was also a member of almost all federal committees for the development and implementation of applications for crime prevention.
