A Critical Analysis - A jet missing since 1971 was found submerged in Vermont's Lake Champlain The disappearance of a corporate jet carrying five people, shortly after its departure from Burlington Airport on January 27, 1971, led to a prolonged mystery. Recently, underwater searcher Garry Kozak and his team, discovered wreckage in Lake Champlain that matches the jet's custom paint scheme, providing significant evidence towards solving this decades-old case. 1. Technological Advancements: Sonar imaging played a crucial role in locating the wreckage in a challenging underwater environment near Juniper Island. This underscores the advancements in search and rescue operations. 2. Credibility: Garry Kozak, an experienced searcher, stated they are "99% sure" about the wreckage's identity, adding credibility to the news and resolving the decades-long mystery. 3. Emotional Relief: The discovery has provided closure to the families of the victims, offering emotional relief from this 53-year-old mystery. The discovery of the wreckage is a significant development in resolving a decades-old mystery. However, determining the cause of the incident remains crucial. The physical remains of the plane may offer valuable clues, necessitating a thorough investigation to uncover the reasons behind the crash. While this finding has provided much-needed closure to the victims' families, it also raises new concerns and emotional challenges. Additionally, this incident highlights the importance of continued investment in technological advancements for search and rescue operations, ensuring better preparedness for future incidents. https://lnkd.in/dV3DibJ6 #GarryKozak #News #PlaneCrash #1972incident #WorldNews #Latest #CAC

Let’s play this guessing pot__😰😰 For landfill there’s a lot of geotechnical conception which can turn this failure understandable. Summarizing, there could have had a mismatch of: * Landfill Geometry, which can be roll from settlement base, slope angle and height; * inherent of applied soils + environmental condition; * Soil Structural connection duo to low or irregular compaction along the hundreds sub-tables of the platform; (assuming the internal gradient of the road); * To the last guess👁️👁️, the terrain morphology which represent a base-bedding of all mass on this section, could have had a special attention focusing to structural preparation to support such loads and strength… * Soil selection… * Civil engineering construction frame… * Conceptions of the Geotech & Civil project…

To everyone in California, Arizona, Colorado or British Columbia: embers are the enemy. In wildfire-prone regions like these, strong winds can carry embers that ignite fences and deliver fire straight to your doorstep. We built a fencing system that is 100% non-combustible and designed to handle the hottest flames. Click the link below to watch how SLEEKFENCE performs against a flamethrower. https://bit.ly/41T38Vc

Cutting it Close - Defensible Space A few years ago, due to all of the wildfires, the State implemented a new defensible space law that affects all Sellers. When you sell a property and the home is in a high or very high fire area, the Seller needs to provide documentation that the home is in compliance with Defensible Space requirements via a Defensible Space Inspection. When we list a property, we have several different maps that we check, depending upon area, to find out if a home is in a high or very high fire zone. Recently, we had a listing, looked up the property on the CalFire site, and discovered we just barely escaped having to do a Defensible Space Inspection. In the whole neighborhood, our clients' home was one out of five that were not in a high or very high fire zone. We call that, cutting it close! To learn more about Defensible Space requirements, you can visit CalFire. Some cities and neighborhoods have more details on their city and/or county sites, too. We need a different strategy.
Alert California has multiple cameras in and around the Park fire, which has grown over 164,000 acres and counting in just over 36 hours. That is nearly 4,000 acres per hour!! The heat signature is among the brightest I have seen from Space via GOES in my many years watching fires. The Alert camera captured extreme fire tornados (firenadoes) from multiple angles. In these clips, which I have assembled, you can see the fire take off to the North, and then shortly after another darker-plumed FireNado follows the earlier plume lighter colored plume. The camera also recorded the fire as it approached and burned the immediate area of the tower. This reminds me of the Carr fire in Redding, and the Fort McMurray fire in Alberta. This also sounds like what has just happened in Jasper as well. The fire is gaining energy as it moves, so much energy it is generating its own weather. You can play 24 hours back on your own on multiple cameras. You can note the names of the cameras I used, and do so yourself. Incredible to be able to be in and near the fire like this and observe the behavior. Frightening for the people who live in and around this area. All because one person pushed a burning vehicle into a creek in a Park. https://lnkd.in/ghfStj9V Michael Falkowski, PhD, Nancy Colleton, Frank Frievalt, Jennifer Balch, Trip Jennings, Dr. Lori Moore-Merrell, Ana Patchin, Evrim Bunn, Dan Reese, Timothy Juliano, Neil Lareau
