NFL Playoffs + Leadership: A Weekend Must-Read: I won’t summarize this book because doing so would diminish its value for you. The true takeaways lie in how it challenges your current views, opinions, and understanding of leadership. Add this book to your library—you won’t regret it. Here’s what I’ll leave you with: never pursue a leadership position for the title, the money, or because someone hands it to you without direction. Instead, take the time to understand why you want to lead. Leadership isn’t given; it’s earned through purpose, clarity, and intention.

As a huge NFL fan, Baltimore Ravens - Ahoo! I often find inspiration in the stories and experiences of players and teams. The NFL isn't just about touchdowns and tackles; it's about #teamwork, #resilience, and #leadership - qualities that are just as essential in business as they are on the field. Although the Ravens did not make it to the Super Bowl last year, what stands out is their relentless spirit. They never give up, and it's only a matter of time before they get there. This reminds me of the power of perseverance and the importance of having a strong, cohesive team. In our professional lives, we face our own "fourth quarter moments" - when challenges seem insurmountable and the stakes are high. It's during these moments that true leaders emerge, guiding their teams with vision and tenacity. At Sarit Expo Centre, we strive to embody these same principles. We believe in supporting one another, pushing through obstacles, and celebrating our collective victories. Just like in the #NFL, success in business is a team effort. How have you seen teamwork and resilience play a role in your professional journey? I'd love to hear your stories and insights! #BusinessInsights #ProfessionalDevelopment

As I watched the football playoffs this weekend, I'm reminded how football strategy and HR analytics have more in common than you'd think. Both require: 1. Clear game plans 2. Adaptability under pressure 3. Leveraging individual strengths 4. Constant communication In my role, I've learned to be both coach and player. Sometimes you call the plays. Other times, you execute them. The goal? Moving the ball forward - whether it's on the field or in your organization's growth. Pro tip: Celebrate your MVPs, but remember - every role is crucial. What's your winning formula for building high-performing teams? #Leadership #HumanResources

We’re taught to bold in business. So why are we so timid in leadership, belief, and hope? You might have heard about how the Washington Commanders have pulled off one of the great upsets in NFL history, securing a spot in their division championship game. But I want to talk about a couple weeks before that, when The Commanders made a last-second touchdown that earned them their initial spot in the playoffs… QB Jayden Daniels was exhausted, but found the strength to thread that pass into the in-zone, right after their backup quarterback said something bold: “Use your god-given talent. Go win us this game.” Now, that’s encouragement. So how come off the field we hedge? We say, “Do your best” or “It’ll be okay.” We play it safe when it comes to lifting others up. Here’s the truth: Bold encouragement isn’t risky—it’s necessary. The best leaders don’t just set the strategy; they inspire belief. They remind their teams of their potential and challenge them to rise. Because sometimes, what someone needs most isn’t a plan—it’s someone to believe in them. Who in your life needs that kind of leadership today? Don’t hold back—your words might be the ones that change everything. #leadership #teamwork #bebold

The end of the season means the end of something else - employment for a number of coaches around the NFL. Doug Pederson and Jerod Mayo are the latest names to be added to this season's list of firings. I find this aspect of the NFL fascinating. Sometimes it feels that the perils of a team are unfairly weighed on the shoulders of one head coach. Ultimately though, the excellence of a leadership style can be witnessed when a player improves beyond expectation in one program vs. another (think Sam Darnold). #NFL #ProfessionalCoaching #Leadership

💪 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸 𝘆𝗼𝘂'𝗿𝗲 𝘂𝗻𝗯𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲? 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸𝗲𝗻𝗱'𝘀 𝗡𝗙𝗟 𝘂𝗽𝘀𝗲𝘁 𝘀𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘄𝗶𝘀𝗲... Seeing the #1 seed, Detroit Lions, go down to the Commanders should be a reminder; ⬆️ There is always an up-and-comer in the field. Just because you have an enviable record does not make you immune to losses, and circumstances can change quickly. 🦁 The Lions may lose both of their coordinators to Head Coaching offers this offseason. In business, leadership shuffles can change an organization's entire direction. 🦸 Adding one key performer, like Jayden Daniels, can also change a team's output, potential, and belief in what's possible. 🤔 Does your organization find the best person for the job or the best one that saw your ad...? 🙌 As a partner in a newer business, these instances motivate me. We hope to bring more youthful energy to our industry and are building a team of key players to ensure we can keep racking up wins! ___________________ 🗨️ Sports metaphors can be tired, but what are your takeaways from the NFL Playoffs so far? 🗨️ Is your company resting on its laurels or hungry for continuous improvement? ➕ Ian Hoxworth #Leadership #football #SportsMetaphors #PositivityTakeover

As the NBA playoffs tip-off, the high-stakes environment brings out the best in athletes and coaches. Based on my experience, there are interesting similarities between leading teams in sports and in the corporate world. Successful coaches are masters of adaptability under pressure, empowering player leadership, and maintaining composure. These same skills are crucial in the corporate setting, where nimble, responsive leadership is key. Empowering employees at all levels to take ownership and contribute ideas is equally important. And, staying focused and maintaining composure in the face of adversity is a hallmark of great leadership. By embracing these principles, we can elevate our own teams to new heights of success. #leadership #highperformingteams #productmarketing #nba

Leadership - it either MAKES or BREAKS an organization. To become a better leader, I spend a lot of time learning about great leaders. And Detroit Lions Coach Dan Campbell is a leader I've been focusing on for two years now. I grew up watching the Detroit Lions. My late father was their biggest fan. To be a Lions fan has been heartbreak after heartbreak. Who can forget the potential of Barry Sanders? Or when Matt Stafford leaves the Lions and then wins the Super Bowl with the LA Rams? Just brutal. But in comes Dan Campbell. The man takes the worst football team in the NFL and made them a Super Bowl contender. One of my favorite authors, Mitch Albom, wrote this amazing summary of Dan Campbell. Whether you're an NFL fan or someone looking to hone in your leadership, it's worth a read. Here were my 3 takeaways: 1️⃣We're here to win. Anything else is unacceptable. 2️⃣ Empathy is essential. 3️⃣ You work as hard as you're asking of others https://lnkd.in/ds5c_McW #leadership #productleadership
