𝗧𝗵𝗲𝘀𝗲 𝗲𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝘄𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗢₂ 𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗽𝘂𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗡𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝗻 𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿 Data from the European Heat Pump Association (EHPA) shows that today’s heat pump technology can already supply 37% of the industrial sector’s process heat. If fully utilized, the European industry could reduce CO₂ emissions by up to 146 million tons annually—that’s 24% of its current emissions and more than the Netherlands emits in a year. “Europe needs a competitive and sustainable industry – and large-scale heat pumps are the key. They already provide reliable heat, reduce costs, and enable affordable energy in manufacturing processes. This potential must be further expanded,” emphasizes EHPA General Director Paul Kenny. To accelerate this transition, EHPA urges the European Commission to put industrial heat pumps at the center of future climate strategies. Thanks to European Heat Pump Association for this Insights! ➡️ Is the transition happening too slowly? What do you think?
