What if the next big AI breakthrough came from Europe? 🇪🇺     We’ve got a plan to make this happen 👇     🏭 13 AI Factories will drive innovation, connecting universities, startups, industry, and policymakers. These hubs will bring together top talent, high-quality data, and powerful computing.     🚀 The EU will also set up AI Gigafactories with 100,000 state-of-the-art AI chips – four times more than current AI factories.     📊 Data Labs will curate large, high-quality data.     🎯 We are launching the Apply AI Strategy to boost industrial use in EU sectors.     💪 We’ll attract global talent through initiatives like the Talent Pool and AI fellowships.     Europe's approach to AI is more than innovation.     It's also about building technology in a responsible way that prioritises safety, transparency, sustainability, and ensures it benefits everyone.     Let's get it there.

  • Map of Europe showing AI Factories (AIF) as part of the EuroHPC initiative. Countries are color-coded: dark blue for AIF Hosting Countries, yellow for AIF Partner Countries, and light blue for other EuroHPC participants. The map highlights 11 AI Factories, including LUMI AIF in Finland, MIMIR in Sweden, PIAST AIF in Poland, AIF Austria, BRAIN** in Bulgaria, Pharos in Greece, SLAIF in Slovenia, ITALIA in Italy, JAIF and HammerHAI in Germany, AIZF in France, BSC AIF in Spain, and Meluxina-AI in Luxembourg. The European Commission and EuroHPC logos appear in the top right, with a note on Switzerland’s conditional participation.
