𝐁𝐏’𝐬 2025 𝐀𝐆𝐌 (11am, 17 April 2025) 𝐀𝐧 𝐔𝐧𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐎𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲? Since 2022 bp has blocked Trustee recommended cost-of-living increases to its pensions causing an 11% drop in the buying power in direct conflict with the intent of their Pension Increase Policy (PIP). The recent arrival of activist investors declaring a significant holding in the bp. This triggered the knee jerk reaction of bp’s CEO announcing a 'fundamental reset'. Pensioners can clearly see that there has been no reset with bp ignoring the PIP . Industry Commentators appear to suggesting that heads need to roll and that the activist shareholders may well be set to vote against some or all of the proposed re-appointments. COULD THIS BE AN UNPRESEDENTED OPPORTUNITY FOR FORMER EMPLOYEES TO MAKE THEIR VOTE COUNT?
