A patient who shares their positive experience in a story is recommending you in a way that is memorable and full of opportunity for your organization. Luigi Pirandello, the Italian playwright said: “A fact is like a sack which won’t stand up when it is empty. In order that it may stand up, one has to put into it the reason and sentiment that caused it to exist.” A story can efficiently convey multiple reasons why someone should choose you. Greenwich Hospital in CT created a video to celebrate the opening of a new wing. A patient told her story of how newly obtained equipment for ambulance crews helped her survive a heart attack and how cardiac rehabilitation restored her vitality. Her results included: “I’ve seen four more grandchildren come into the world. I feel great!” Hospital executive Jeff Atwood invited managers to bring employees who had been recognized by patients or family to hospital board meetings. The manager would tell the board how meaningful the associate’s kindness was for the patient or family. This process : - created memorable experiences for the staff member, the manager and the board. - reinforced the organization’s mission, vision and values. - provided good stories to share in the community. Have you heard a story that made you feel positive about an organization? Please share in the comments! #patientexperience #HCAHPS #willingtorecommend

The BCCPC palliative competency framework was originally created in 2019, to identify ideal competencies and inform provincial education strategy for health-care providers (HCPs) caring for people with life-limiting conditions in British Columbia. The framework has now been revised to align with the language of the Canadian Interdisciplinary Palliative Care Competency Framework (from Canadian Partnership Against Cancer), while maintaining the components specific to the BC context. The framework will continue to be foundational in developing our educational resources, professional development pathways and service delivery models. Mercy is committed to providing the best possible care to its patients. That's why we rely on Mercy Technology Services (MTS) to support our mission. MTS plays a critical role in pioneering a new model of care by building and managing Mercy's gold star-rated Epic electronic health record, conducting groundbreaking work in data analytics to improve patient care, and ensuring easy access to Mercy services through the MyMercy patient portal, our website, on-site systems, and more. MTS' hard work has paid off. We're proud to announce that MTS was named one of the Most Wired by CHIME. But that's not all. One of MTS' most important duties is ensuring the availability and security of patient health records. That's why we invested $60 million in building a state-of-the-art data center in Washington, Missouri, with fail-safe features that can withstand a variety of natural events, power or water interruptions, and even building failures. Plus, a second data center in Sunset Hills, Missouri, runs every system in parallel to ensure maximum uptime. At Mercy, we believe that better data leads to better care. That's why we've been collecting clinical data for more than a decade. MTS' experts use cutting-edge analytics tools to learn from that data, finding which processes and products lead to better patient experiences. By doing so, we have reduced mortality rates by 50% for patients with heart failure, pneumonia, and colectomy patients. We are also preventing more than 17,000 unnecessary blood transfusions every year and decreasing the time it takes to administer a diuretic to patients with heart failure by nearly three hours. At Mercy, we're committed to providing the best possible care to our patients. And with MTS' help, we're making great strides towards that goal. hashtag hashtag hashtag #Healthcare hashtag hashtag hashtag #ITJobs hashtag hashtag hashtag #DataScience hashtag hashtag hashtag #Jobs hashtag hashtag hashtag #Analytics https://lnkd.in/gDAi4X8s

💙 A Personal Journey That Inspired MD Senior Placement Solutions 💙 Sometimes, life has a way of leading us down unexpected paths. It was during a challenging time in my own life that MD Senior Placement Solutions came to be. It all started when my beloved mother fell ill, and I found myself in unfamiliar territory, unsure of where to turn or what options were available to us. My devoted father had been tirelessly caring for her, but his own strength was waning as the years went by. We needed help, guidance, and peace of mind. In that moment of vulnerability and uncertainty, I realized that there must be countless families going through a similar experience. Families who, like us, were desperately seeking compassionate and reliable care for their aging loved ones. This realization ignited a fire within me, a passion to make a difference and lend a helping hand to those in need. MD Senior Placement Solutions was born out of that deep-rooted desire to provide support, empathy, and expert guidance to families on their journey to find the perfect senior care solution. Our mission became clear: to be a beacon of hope and a trusted resource for families navigating the complex world of senior care. Every day, we strive to walk alongside families, offering a compassionate ear, a wealth of knowledge, and a personalized approach to finding the ideal placement for their loved ones.
