The best way to network is being kind and nice genuinely but we see alot of strategies on trying hard to take up these effortless and free qualities. This reminds me of the book "How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie" This is a good one to understand people and grow your network. Few of my Fav lines from the book - 1. It is the individual who is not interested in his fellow men who has the greatest difficulties in life and provides the greatest injury to others. It is from among such that all human failures spring. 2. Showing a genuine interest in others not only wins friends for you but may develop in its customers a loyalty to your company. 3. You can make more friends in two months by becoming interested in other people that you can in two years by trying to get other people interested in you. 4. So the only way to influence other people is to talk about what they want and show them how to get it. 5. The difference between appreciation and flattery? That is simple. One is sincere and the other is insincere. 6. Instead of condemning people, let’s try to understand them. Let’s try to figure out why they do what they do.
