This happens all the time. Company isn't getting enough value out of vendor. So company fires vendor. No questions asked. The problem with this? Delivery is messy. Full of complexity. Rather than jumping right to firing the vendor outright... Consider asking them to reduce their fees and giving them a shot to re-establish their ROI. Things will often rebound... And from a loyalty perspective? Most vendors will be forever grateful for the "second chance."

To end the year out we are going to catch up on 2024. This isn't our usual post highlighting 3 service vendors, as we realized we would never be able to highlight everyone at that pace! We want to thank all of these companies for joining us in Q1 this year. Over the next 2 months, stay tuned as we continue to highlight more companies, show off the thousands of sites that came through our platform, and some of the big changes we've added. #propertymanagement #facilitymanagement #commercialservices #2024

I inherited a bunch of software vendor contracts when I stepped into my CRO role here at finally We have too many. We are paying too much for certain tools. I’ll be doing some chopping here very soon. But in this process there have been a few interesting takeaways. When you announce a new role you get HAMMERED by new vendors… but you know who I didn’t barely hear a peep from? The current vendors. What has been SUPER interesting to me is historically I get treated pretty well by vendors to build a relationship and because of the brand and all that. So It’s been fun to see how things are done when they don’t know it’s me on the other end. Been pretty surprised and the poor level of support and treatment from some pretty big names in the space. We’ve had some contracts come up for renewal that I’m looking to either cancel or re-negotiate and to see some of the tactics has been hilarious to me. ‘We will turn things off if you don’t renew by X’ ‘You are in an auto renewal, sorry’ ‘We will be increasing your pice by x% if you don't renew by y’ - Now I don’t blame the individual CS rep (although they should probably at least look me up) - but it’s been pretty sad to be honest the level of support we’ve gotten. With a few of these vendors I’m almost in the FAFO mode/mindset right now Like ooooooooh I wish you would turn my sh*t off/just auto renew me and watch the storm I’ll cause for you. CS reps/Departments - When a new person joins a company you should really work to build that relationship and build it fast! Otherwise come renewal time... You're gonna have a bad time.

When it comes to choosing vendors, what matters most to you? Do you typically go for the best pricing, services, or options available? Or is the personal connection with the vendor more important, working with people you enjoy and trust? And do you think it’s worth putting in the effort to continuously explore new vendor options, even if things are going well with your current partners? Would love to hear some thoughts on what drives vendor decisions from owners and C-suite individuals making decisions!

📞"Call me, Maybe" 😀 As a vendor rep solution provider, I prioritize answering the phone when broker teams call. It's a simple gesture that seems rare nowadays. Almost every time I pick up, their surprise is noticeable, often followed by a grateful "thank you" because, sadly, it's not something they encounter often. I believe that being accessible and responsive sets me apart. It's not just about being reachable; it's about building trust and fostering strong partnerships. 🦬 🦬 Let's keep the conversation flowing and the connections strong! 💼 #Ameritas #humanresources #benefits #VendorRep #CommunicationMatters #BuildingPartnerships

Going from strength to strength! Bytes delivering more value to more clients.
This morning, we published our results for the first half of our financial year. I am pleased to announce another strong performance across the Group, as demonstrated by our growing client base and the widespread recognition we’ve received from our vendor partners. This has been in no small part down to the commitment and dedication shown by our brilliant colleagues all over the country – they do an incredible job every day in supporting our customers to access the best mix of software and services to suit their business needs. I would like to take this moment to thank them all. We’re really pleased with the start we’ve made so far this year. With businesses increasingly prioritising their IT spend, we continue to see plenty of opportunities for further growth. https://lnkd.in/eaCp4FMc
