Previous research has demonstrated that exposure to light during the incubation period reduces stress, improves immunological responses and improves post-hatching measures. Given these positive health impacts, Angela Perretti, University of Arkansas poultry science graduate student, sought to investigate how incubation lighting affected fear and stress responses in growout for broilers. Perretti delivered her presentation at the 2024 Poultry Science Association annual meeting.
