With the recent elimination of health programs and mass layoffs in Trump’s United States, Canada must seize the moment to attract the American medical professionals who no longer feel valued. This is a unique opportunity to become a scientific and medical powerhouse, but it can’t be a patchwork effort. It must be a national priority.
