The experts in a community are those who are living there, taking part in the life of the neighborhood every single day. We want to serve alongside those experts, empowering them to lead the way in bringing about lasting change and through creating access to opportunities for education or employment. Our vision is that people live in neighborhoods full of opportunity, know and serve their neighbors, and are invited into gospel-centered community. Our goals are to develop people and communities holistically, empower impoverished and underserved people to grow and develop in all aspects of their lives, and work alongside individuals to inspire and develop indigenous leadership. Huge Thank You to some of our amazing Who I Am Foundation volunteers in #Phoenix, the Hogan family and friends, and Bluprint Music Group who came out to Saturday morning's Community Clean-Up project! They cleaned up Roosevelt St. from 7th Ave to 19th Ave, in honor of Kenny "Fanatic" Hogan!  They picked up over 14 BAGS OF TRASH in an hour and a half! A testament to their commitment and dedication. Showcasing the impact you can make in the community by simply volunteer 1-2 hours a week. These Community Clean-Up projects are conducted multiple times each month, and our team will rotate around to different parts of the Phoenix area, to clean up streets, neighborhoods, and parks. Volunteer-led projects such as these are one of the quickest, simplest, and least expensive ways to inspire more community spirit and civic action. A visually appealing community increases property values, attracts businesses, and improves the neighborhood's image. Beauty is one of the three most influential factors in community attachment, which means loyalty, to your particular town or city. Some research even shows that a nice-looking neighborhood promotes good behavior. If you know of any parks or neighborhoods that could use some beautification, simply comment below! Balancing a career with meaningful community engagement isn’t easy, but the rewards are immense. Outside my professional responsibilities, I’m deeply committed to public initiatives in historic preservation, politics, and transportation advocacy—causes that inspire me and create lasting, tangible impact in our communities. Managing these commitments alongside my work has taught me invaluable lessons about purpose and perspective. Community engagement demands strategic thinking, resilience, and a long-term outlook—skills that are equally vital in the workplace. My experience in transportation and historic preservation advocacy has sharpened my ability to see the bigger picture, while my professional background enables me to address community issues with a structured, solutions-oriented approach. Each side of this balance enriches the other. Community initiatives provide my work with renewed purpose, while my professional role grounds my approach to local issues in practicality.
