Two of the strongest competitors at the Tour de France for 8 years. They needed each other to perform even better. Besides all the will and fight to win against the opponent - unbelievable what Jan did as Lance fell down at one race: Instead of using the opportunity to his advantage, Jan slowed down until Lance catched up again. You can transfer this to business easily - winning a customer because of the weakness of your competitor is a good but a short lasting feeling. Much more intense, sustainable and motivating is a hard fight at the same level at which only minor things are making the key difference. https://lnkd.in/eebdaBkj

This is going to be special…… It’s unique electric motor splined to the crankshaft, coupled with its monstrous electric turbo. Means this is a hybrid that does not feel like a hybrid.

These are very wise words coming from a 7-time F1 world champion. Preparing young drivers for the world outside of the car is something that is very often underestimated. #youngdrivers #youngdriverprogram #formelautria #motorsportPR #mediatraining #cameracoaching #mediainterviews
Lewis Hamilton is so right in saying that racing talents need protection and guidance concerning the media. This is exactly what we are doing in our Formelaustria Young Driver Programme, where former F1 media spokesperson Alexandra Schieren and ex-Sky F1 presenter Maren Braun run the media training for our scholars.

If anyone wants to feel in awe that what we can do as humans, check out the Montane Ltd Spine Race 🏃🏽 The Montane Spine Race isn’t just a race; it’s a journey into the heart of human potential. Stretching over 268 miles along the Pennine Way in the middle of winter, it’s one of the toughest ultramarathons in the world. Facing biting winds, endless darkness, and challenging terrain, participants endure not just a physical test but a battle of the mind. Why do they do it? Because the Spine Race is more than the sum of its miles. It teaches resilience, adaptability, and the power of the human spirit to push through even when the odds seem insurmountable. Each participant carries their own story, a unique purpose that drives them through sleepless nights and icy trails 🧊 Watching their grit reminds us that limits are often self-imposed—and breaking them is where growth happens. Whether you’re an ultrarunner, a weekend adventurer, or someone chasing big goals, let the Spine Race inspire you. It’s sure inspired me! 🏃🏽 Step outside your comfort zone. Challenge the impossible. And most importantly, never stop moving forward—no matter how steep the climb. To the participants and finishers of the Montane Spine Race: You embody the courage and determination we all aspire to. Thank you for showing us what’s possible when the human spirit is unleashed ⭐ Why am I sharing this? I hope by sharing this, at least one person has been inspired to do something outside their comfort zone - whether it be by foot, in your job or any other adventure you may take on 💪🏽 Maybe one year I may dip into the ultra world. Let’s see what adventures and challenges I can take on this year 🧡 #MontaneSpineRace #UltraRunning #ComfortZone #Challnges

Why you’re NOT only as good as your last performance Last Saturday, Mark Cavendish was the first rider to get dropped on a challenging first stage of the Tour de France due to the heat. Many feared his early exit, but he managed to finish within the time limit alongside his team members. Today, 4 days later, he won his 35th stage in the Tour making him the sole record holder 👑 Despite the doubts surrounding him after stage 1, Cavendish remained confident in his and the team’s ability: 🗣️ “We knew what we were doing. We had a plan, we stuck to it.” The plan: survive and save energy on hilly stages by riding at his own pace, understanding that difficult stages are part of the process to get chances at victory. 🎯This goal-setting (past successes, experience, motivation, training…) contributed to keep believing in his own ability to win, not panicking when getting dropped early or having a bad day. 💡There are endless factors that can influence your day-to-day performance, so don’t let it influence your belief in your ability. Instead, stick to your plan.
