Need a reason to use up those vacation days? Research shows that individuals who took more than 10 days off had a 65.4% chance of getting a raise or bonus within three years. Additionally, for every additional 10 days of vacation taken, their year-end performance increased by 8%. Time off could be more beneficial than you think! 🌴💼 #VacationDays #WorkLifeBalance

TRAVEL MATH Studies have found that many Americans do not use all of their allotted PTO. For example, a 2018 study by Project: Time Off reported that 52% of Americans left vacation days unused. That is soooo many people not taking much needed relaxation time. This just makes me sad. Studies also show that taking PTO can have significant positive effects on employee well-being, including reduced stress, increased job satisfaction, and improved mental health. Employees who take regular vacations tend to have higher levels of productivity and creativity. So, what should we do? Book that trip! And to help encourage you, I have a travel hack for you. Utilize that PTO to the max with the rest of these dates for 2024.   Sept 3-6 These dates utilize Labor Day weekend. Your trip dates would start Aug 31st to Sep 8th, which is a 9-day vacation! And you would only need to use 4 days worth of PTO!   Nov 12-15 For Veteran's Day (if you get that day off), use the 12-15th as PTO. The free day off, plus the PTO, plus the two weekends equal 9 days!   Nov 25-27, 29 For Thanksgiving, you could have 9 days total utilizing only four days of PTO, the holiday, and two weekends. Bonus if your company gives you the day before or after Thanksgiving off!   Dec 23,24,27,30,31 Only use five days of PTO for a 12-day trip! This could also work out even better if your employer gives you Christmas Eve and New Years Eve off without using PTO.   Even though traveling during the holidays can be busy, it can be worth it to squeeze in those trips if your PTO is limited or if you just need that extra trip away. Of the countries surveyed, America comes last on the average number of vacation days allotted and the average number of vacation days taken, and, for the most part, it’s not even close. 👉Per the report, workers in Hong Kong were happiest to get stuck into their PTO pot, typically not leaving any of their average 26 vacation days unused.
