🌟 Feeling grateful to be part of such a diverse and inclusive organization like Montare Behavioral Health! 🌈✨ I am truly appreciative of the fact that Montare recognizes the importance of Juneteenth and has given us the day off tomorrow to commemorate this significant day in history. It's refreshing to work for a company that values diversity and inclusion, not just in words but in actions. In a time where many organizations simply pay lip service to DEI initiatives, Montare stands out by fostering a culture that celebrates diversity at all levels. From leadership diversity to embracing individuals of different backgrounds, religions, and identities, Montare truly walks the talk. This gesture of granting us the day off for Juneteenth goes a long way in making me feel valued and appreciated. It's moments like these that reaffirm my pride in being part of such a forward-thinking and inclusive workplace. Here's to more organizations like Montare paving the way for a more diverse and equitable future! 🌟🙌 #DiversityandInclusion #Juneteenth #ProudEmployee #MontareBehavioralHealth"

⚖ 🏗 Fostering an inclusive construction workforce is a moral and strategic imperative. Tough Leaf, NAWIC Greater New York Chapter 240, and the Queens Chamber of Commerce recently hosted Building Inclusivity 2024, a powerful DEI summit highlighting key insights: Leadership drives real change. Partnerships between subcontractors and general contractors built on trust are crucial. Construction companies' DEI initiatives impact communities through local partnerships, listening, and creative volunteerism. As Janice Haughton of Turner stated, "Diversity is being invited, but inclusion is being asked to dance." Let's keep moving towards an empowered, equitable construction workforce serving all communities. Check out the inspiring Tough Leaf blog post recapping more insights from this impactful event. https://lnkd.in/dDQBpJfs #womeninconstruction, #womencontractors, #womengeneralcontractors, #subcontractordiversity, #generalcontractor, #primecontractors, #MBE, #WBE, #DBE, #MWBE, #XBE, #SDVOB, #DEI, #DIVERSITY, #CONSTRUCTION, #SUBCONTRACTOR, #DIVERSEFIRM, #INCLUSION, #DEIB, #UBE, #XBE

Both construction and technology stand to gain a lot from investing in diversity, equity, and inclusion. Today marks Juneteenth, which is now a federal holiday in the US. It commemorates the day in 1965 when the remaining enslaved people were notified of their freedom—two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was signed. Juneteenth is a powerful reminder of the ongoing struggles for racial equity and freedom which, if addressed, can help individuals thrive as well as support growth and innovation. At HammerTech, we're committed to creating a space where everyone can show up to work authentically, sharing history and unity by celebrating cultural differences. #Juneteenth #racialequity #constructiontech

So much potential, so much opportunity was the theme of the awesome Meri Fatin's Space Ship Earth conversation at Lawson Flats last night. I adored the insightful Heidi Mippy's take on what it is to be a connected human, and the role that pausing, country and nature will have in showing us the way. Nicole Lockwood's transformational system dot connectors and change agents are who we want to aspire to be, and Adam Carrel's ENOUGH people who look the same, sound the same, like the same, having the same conversations, and nodding at the same stories of BBQs, renovations and Rottnest while protecting each other's backs and lifestyle may not be enough to get us there certainly sounds valid to us. Meanwhile, Adrian Fini and Hesperia take on extending Kings Park down the terrace and the economic value of protecting and re-wilding our City as other capital cities, and countries around the world are doing has our vote. At Place.ID we commit to socialising and standing up for these things that matter and the creating an identity that we feel proud of, even if we get a little bruised and battered along the way. Will you join us? Thanks so much Meri for starting these long overdue conversations... AND YES Heidi Mippy - having had a very similar conversation on intergenerational families on the land last week, my head was trying to process how 3-4 generations on the land, equates in anyway to 10s of or 100s of thousands of years on this country! The intergenerational pain of seeing your beautiful forested home ridden over by small white men with guns must still feel so raw and real. We have to do better than that into our future! #identity #change #futurefocused #leadership #changechampions #inconversation

Day 13 of 31: Winter Solstice – A Lesson in Balance and Diversity As December unfolds, we approach the Winter Solstice – the year's longest night and shortest day. While it marks a natural turning point, it also offers a profound lesson: balance is essential, even amidst extremes. In nature, the solstice reminds us that the darkest moments are temporary and pave the way for light. This mirrors the work of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI). Creating a truly inclusive world means recognizing disparities while striving for equity, much like the solstice’s delicate dance between night and day. Diversity thrives when every voice is valued, just as ecosystems flourish when every element plays its part. The solstice invites us to honor that diversity by seeking balance—not just in our personal lives but in the spaces we influence. Think about it: how can we champion balance in our communities? Are we ensuring fairness in how opportunities are distributed? Are we inviting diverse perspectives and truly listening? Let today be a call to reflect, recalibrate, and recommit to building environments where balance and inclusion coexist beautifully. Just as the solstice promises brighter days ahead, so do our collective DEI efforts. The solstice teaches us this truth: only in balance can we honor the beauty of diversity. #CNJAssociates #WinterSolstice #DiversityAndInclusion #EquityMatters #SeasonOfReflection #InclusiveLeadership #31DaysOfInspiration

The State Government has endorsed the Future of Fremantle Vision, which is also an important step for Westport. The Vision provides the clearest picture yet on the future redevelopment of the Fremantle Inner Harbour once container trade is relocated to Kwinana under Westport. It makes sense to future-proof WA’s container supply chain by realigning it through our premier industrial precinct in Kwinana, which generates the opportunity for this incredible 260ha transformation of Freo. You could say Future of Fremantle is anchored to Westport…
Future of Fremantle vision endorsed! 🔮😍 With help from more than 1,000 ideas and comments from the community, business and government, our early planning work on a new vision to transform Fremantle Port into a modern, sustainable waterfront city is complete! The Future of Fremantle Place and Economic Vision embodies the spirit of Fremantle | Walyalup – a resilient, welcoming city that holds cultural significance for Aboriginal people 📍

At Smoot Construction, Supplier Diversity isn’t just a goal—it’s a driving force behind the way we do business. As we continue Construction Inclusion Week, Day 3’s theme shines a light on the importance of building strong, diverse supply chains that empower communities and drive economic growth. With nearly 80 years of history as the Midwest's largest minority-owned construction management firm, we understand firsthand the impact that opportunity can have. We’ve benefited from doors being opened for us, and now, we make it our mission to open doors for others. By prioritizing supplier diversity, we ensure that minority-owned, women-owned, and other underrepresented businesses have a seat at the table and a chance to thrive alongside us. A diverse supplier base strengthens our projects, enhances our community impact, and fuels innovation. At Smoot, we are committed to leveraging our platform to support inclusive growth across the industry. Together, we can build a stronger, more equitable future—one partnership at a time. #ConstructionInclusionWeek #SupplierDiversity #SmootConstruction #Inclusion #OpportunityForAll #MidwestConstruction #DiversityInBusiness #BuildingStrongerTogether
